Air Emissions

They are modern wizards. Politicians have the power that we attribute to them. They take words and fill them with magical meaning. They use their arts to transform words into illusory realities. The dignity of work, the south of Italy, fight against crime, information, development, innovation, instruction are only coloured balloons full of air. They are floated into the sky to make us happy, light, participating. The names of these shamans are themselves weapons, magic tools given powers by the media and thus transformed from ectoplasm into hierarchical substances. Once the words have been pronounced, they require respect, fear and reverence.

A simple name. Green, Smith, Brown is just a name.
A media name, Mastella, Casini, D’Alema is an act of power.
As we are lost in this nightmare we don’t realise that we are adoring new golden calves, TV pharaohs, nullified emperors. Their consistency is that of a mirage, vanishing.
Their discussions, their actions are removed from our judgement. They are made sacred by repetition in the media, like the litanies of religious rites. Tonight in TV, tomorrow opening a newspaper, their faces, their names appear as in an enchantment, and it goes on the next day and the day after.

The media are their only amulets, their magic filters, true arms of mass destruction used for their survival.
Otherwise they would return to the nullity to which they belong.
Farts in deepest space.

Raffa, It's OK now.

Posted by: blisco jajo | March 19, 2006 06:52 PM

Prince, I agree with your point of view! We are bombarded all the time with every kind of messages, we must filter only those that armonize with our inner world. To do that, we must know ourselves very good, we must reflect upon our needs, we must know where we are and where we are going.
And, above all, never stop to learn, otherwise we'll stop to live.
I know the importance of your dad in the forming of your character, thanks him you are just as you are!
PS) for you & blisco:
try now to reach my site, I did something and i think it's all ok!

Rafa,I pity you but I think that the place where you put your site is corrupted by somebody who placed a spy somwhere. So, everytime when somebody comes to your site, there is a pop up which appears inviting you to download a program in order to see that page better (If I remember it's in the second page). I didn't download anything but averytime I clic to delete the pop up, another one reappear and it was even very difficult to cut the line. When finaly the line was cutted I saw that the worm was there. As I eleminated it immediately I don't remember the name. I only know that it was a commun one which one time gaves me a lot of troubles. That's the reason why I don't want to risk to kiss you the other cheek another time:-)
Try to remember how you did the site. Nowadays it could be people that they propose to you a free room to put your site or a program to build it and is just to have a pretext to insert something bad inside.
The first thing to do, in any case, is not to give the url anymore to anyone since you don't know exactely what, because a lot of people are without anti-virus programs and they can be very mad with you.
If you don't find a solution, forget it and do another one. No doubts that it will be better.
Whoops I'm late. I go to the theater tonight. Good luck!

Raffaella, your website is like a baby, it has the worms :)

Anyway, I hope it will get better.

Blisco: After all those years I still mourn Miles. Now I understand why my dad missed Charlie Parker a lot.
Now, in my home, I have 2 paintings made by a friend of mine: one with my dad and the other with Miles, and, of course, lots and lots of Miles' records, Cd's and books, along with everybody from Armstrong to Zawinul.

By writing this I want to state that everybody should have an example suggested by their own heart and not imposed by the media. My experience has been direcly influenced by those guys and for this I feel lucky.

Everybody is different, of course, and for this we all should look inside to know who we are before facing the outside world and directly or indirectly measure ourselves with all those external factors that may change our life in an heartbeat.

What everybody now needs is to be left alone to meditate on where we are, look around and direct our mind towards our real needs, without ending like fat geese, fed by blatant merchants and opportunists without any care for the other people's needs.
Only then we will master our willpower and say "Yes" or "No" to all these signals that are bombarding us every day.

In my case, Miles and my dad are just the point of departure. The rest is written as I live every day.

Prince, I don't know your father but Miles is a king.

Posted by: blisco jajo | March 18, 2006 02:21 PM

Well, I don't need heroes too but I like to see and possibly meet superior people in art, any stimulate my self. By the way, I went to see your site and I got a bad worm (Fortunately without damages because I'm very well pretected) Try to find out if somebody else had the same. I don't think is coming from you but I got it while I was on your site.

Posted by: blisco jajo | March 18, 2006 02:19 PM

My heroes are my dad and Miles Davis.

Blisco, my dear, I don't need heroes at all! and you? ;-)

Posted by: Raffaella Biferale | March 18, 2006 01:22 AM

Yeah, and what about the new heroes like Pantani called the pirate made by the medias? Frankly, if Italy doesn't have anybody else to make heroes we are really at the end of the decadence.
