Research Gagged

They were too annoying and they were punished. Discovering certain massive cooking pots where you find things boiling away like incinerators, steel works and electricity generating stations using heavy oil, and putting loud mouths and pseudo-scientists in a bad light is activity which does not attract sympathy.
And so, since they couldn’t be attacked on scientific grounds, it’s simpler to remove the equipment from Antonietta Gatti and Stefano Montanari who were causing too much trouble. This is an environmental scanning electronic microscope used by the two researchers to discover the mechanisms by which nano particles produced by combustion can kill, and how this causes the illnesses suffered by the survivors of the Gulf War and the War in the Balkans. They’ve discovered the scientific tricks behind the incinerators, and what is released into the environment from the 3 million tons of heavy oils that are burned each year by an electricity generating station and lots of other stuff that has opened up a completely new pathway in the field of medicine.
Their microscope has gone and we, who cannot allow ourselves to lose Antonietta and Stefano, will give them another microscope. We’ll do this very soon and it’ll be more powerful than the previous one.
Today we are starting a fund to buy one on behalf of the Associazione Carlo Bortolani Onlus. I’ve already set a good example by donating the receipts of the 28 February show at Modena. The MeetUp young people are getting active and everyone can give up a pizza to avoid being full of polluting substances.
Payments can be made to:

I agree with doubts expressed below by other readers. I am ready to give my contribution, but I need also to know more with maximum transparency. Please consider all suggestions and collect on a website all details of this initiative.
regards
Gerardo

The Contributor list will be PUBBLIC. (we are working with online banking).
You can contact the ONLUS CARLO BORTOLANI (Not lucrative association) that will buy the MICROSCOPE and will hold it and allow to use dott. Montanari and dott. Gatti for their research.

I visited your links! Annette Petter's work seems very interesting, even though I'm not a specialist.
However she works in Germany, they invest a lot of money in research, unlike Italy!

Why do you waste your money buying a scanning electronic microscope for a couple of scientist producing very low number of scientific works with very low impact and credibility? I suggest you to give money to a much better scientific environment. Looking for something good online I easily found Annette Peters head of a research unit on Air pollution Health Effects. Checking out her work I found a much better publication score and impact. I attach the link to allow you to go and check.

I think it will be useful for an international contributor, to have an IBAN code instead of account, ABI and CAB codes: the money transfer will be easier that way.

Yes, whatever stange it may sound, Italians can even be generous and serious at the same time. Like other people. Unbelievable, isn't it?

It shows how italians can be:-)
They are always ready to fight against a dot or a comma but always plenty of generosity to help anyone without knowing what and whom if they know why.
I was just passing by:-)

I am enthusiastic about contribtuing to the purchase of the electronic microscope. This research seems extremely important. I fully share your campaign to raise awareness on researches, that are important for human health but dangerous for various economic interests.
However I feel that such an important intitative needs to be supported with completely clear and transparent information in regards of the following themes:
- Nanodiagnostics s.r.l. (www.nanodiagnostics.it) where Stefano Montanari works seems to be a lucrative business (products certification). What is the relationship between the lucrative researches, and the microscope?
- What are all the professional activities of Montanari e Gatti?
- Who owned the microscope used withdrew to Montanari e Gatti, and why it was withdroawn?
- Who will become owner of the new microscope? What is the total cost?
- Where the list of contributes will be published for transparency?
- Will the new microscope be at disposal of every non-lucrative research?
- Is the scientific world be aware of Montanari and Gatti's researches? What is their reaction?
I would be ready to contribute with much more than the cost of a Pizza, but transparency and accuracy of information should be the first priority. What about creating a web page wery clear about this?

I don't understand why this microscope was removed.
I mean the official reasons because they can't hold no longer this thing.
I dont'know who gave them the microscope, and if Montanari and Gatti are working for a public research institute or not.
Anyway,I will give the money, but I wish to understand a little more.

As I wrote on the Italian side, is absurd that the Italian citizens should pay with their own money what was supposed to be paid with tax money.
This is pure theft.
But, as we say in Italy, the truth will always go to the surface.
