Luca in the sky with Murdoch

lucy_in_the_sky.jpg

Murdoch has decided to take a young man to the civil courts. He had tried in the criminal courts but his request was turned down by the judge. He had got his PC impounded but the judge had it returned to him.

The action was initiated by Sky, and as explained by a post, the site of the young man contained links to Chinese sites that allowed us to view live games of our championship. This is Luca’s short letter:

"Hi Beppe it’s Luca,
I wanted to tell you that Sky has even tried to take me to the Supreme Court.
The hearing is fixed for 4 July. I need to get in touch with the lawyer to get advice.
Let me know.
Hugs.”

Luca De Maio (calciolibero).

With the funds remaining from the publicity in the Herald Tribune, almost 8,000 Euro, I’ve decided to help Luca to get legal advice against Sky. I believe you will be in agreement.

I’ve decided to create an association for liberty on the Internet to help those people who are victims of prevarications and legal actions. You’ll get all the details before the end of the month.

Sky has made the world championship disappear from our TV screens. They attack a young person and take him to the Supreme Court. If you know anyone who subscribes to Sky, tell them to stop.

Bravo Beppe,

Murdoch is very bad news..., responsible for brainwashing the masses with his world-wide Media Empire in support of the BushCo regime.

Let's just remember he was the first in promoting this illegal and criminal war of aggression against Iraq because, that way (by stealing their oil), "oil will go back to $10/barrel..."
Yeah..., right !!

Sky = Fox National Geographic.

On their learning channel of National Geographic they have imbedded frames of Muslim men inbetween frames of building being blown up.

A hateful, racists and etremely insidious manner to provoke/incitebrutal racists attacks upon the Muslim community (as if they aren't enouh morons attacking Muslims). TTThey have refused to answer to journalist's question from their offices in Rome.

i have written to them 5 times requesting eplanation/comments etc but they have ignored it.

I intend to persue the matter and report them to the appropriate authorities one of which is the RRRace relation board.

So dear you have my support & solidarity and I will keep you informed via Mr rillo or in some other way.

I forgot.

Can we compare him to the Grinch?

(The Grinch that stole the world championship from our eyes)

Murdoch and his media empire must be fought and I am glad to read the comments here. In New York City, where I live, his "newspaper" The New York Post is basically the propaganda organ of the Republican Party. He uses the paper to exert his political influence, to bash liberals and leftists and gays, and in general to promote the interests of the ultra-rich and right-wing. Fox News, which he also owns, is even worse -- it spews right-wing, pro-Bush propaganda 24 hours a day. A terrible, terrible man. Italiani, don't let him do to Italy what he has done here -- altough I fear it may be too late already to stop this fascista.

I can't stand football-subjects any longer ;-) but I agree with Beppe's initiative against Murdoch and his media power! As I wrote on the italian blog, we must be on the alert, and fight against anybody is trying to gag the internet, the only remaining free source of information, culture, sport and entertainment.

Great, Beppe - I am sick to the gills of Murdoch. I have to miss today's Togo-South Korea match because it's on Sky, which should be boycotted by all football fans everywhere.
Not least because, according to thebusinessonline, Nerdoch, the born-again Christian and chairman of News Corporation, "has been secretly building a stable of wholly-owned pornographic channels for his BSkyB subsidiary."
BSkyB now owns and operates its own pornographic channels – the 18+ Movies selection.
