Adamo Bove and his flight from the freeway overpass have disappeared. He is mentioned only in a few articles in la Stampa that I invite you to read: 1, 2.
Adamo Bove knew he was in danger, as reported in la Stampa: “They are vilifying me. He added that he was very worried that the attack had come from inside his company, Telecom. That an investigation by Internal Auditing was targeting him without having informed him and that this report landed up in the newspaper the day after it was handed over.”Who ordered this internal investigation? Did Tronchetti know?

A friend of Adamo Bove has written to the Blog. His letter is shown here.

“ Adamo Bove was one of my close friends. He was best man at my wedding and with his fiancée, then wife, has been close to me at times of difficulty. I have also celebrated birthdays with him as we were born on the same day.Unfortunately for different events in my life and his we had not seen each other for a few years, but I can bear witness to the fact that he was an exceptional man. He was honest, courageous and capable of facing up to complex situations calmly and lucidly. I could believe that anyone could commit suicide, but I can’t believe that he could.I ask how a man that has had the same woman from the time of High School (and I know how close they were) didn’t leave her a note… I ask how a man who is so precise could have not had his documents with him…. I ask how a man who was used to using arms (he was always armed when we went out together) kills himself by throwing himself from a bridge…. And not only that, I ask how a man who was so watchful for others could have thrown himself onto a road risking being the cause of an accident.I knew him to be an intelligent man, someone generous, extraordinarily attentive and courageous. A man like few others, I wished him well.
May he rest in peace.”

Hi Beppe,

I am working on a story for the Bove case in Italy for my network, Al Jazeera English and I was wondering whether you could put me in contact with Adamo's friend F.B.
I understand he knew him really well and its the first time I ever read those things about the person and his character.

It'impossible to know the true.
I'm interested in the bove suicide and reading newspaper and watching tv i catch only a thing: all in italy is under the control of politics or under the hand of big power.
There is not a free information point!!!
I hope to find that in the web or in site like this.
I suggest to use TOR, the anonimous net, so people that know something more about "bove suicide" can post an hidden service about that.!!!!
Thank you all,
i hope in freedom of speech

Eva, worry you should because we have a bad habit of being ruled by people with a criminal mind.
In the 20th Century Mao liquidated 71 Million Chinese mainly in peace time. Stalin comes second with ove 50 millions. Poor Hitler is a distant third and the Neocons can only aspire to amateur status. The criminals rule the world and they are mainly males loaded with testosterone. However women in power end up behaving exactly the same as men. Think of Condi Rice, Maggie Thatcher, Madeleine Albright and yes, Hillary Clinton.

Comment over Minister Paolo Ferrero statement:

1) It is necessary to decidedly increase the help given by “developed” countries to poor countries, to construct serious cooperation – like Italy and Europe – to promote social and economic development starting with North Africa.
The writer is an Italian citizen, with an academic degree and more then 50 years experience in industrial activities, that on 1992 during a survey over the investment opportunities in Egypt was convinced by GAFI to realize a project, that was suggested and strongly supported by GOFI, for the production of a product of high quality, for human use, whose control is under total responsibility of Governmental Authorities. In fact only Governmental Authorities have exclusive duty to fix the standard specifications, to control the day by day production before its use, to fix the terms of the price/quality evaluation in the public tender where You need to participate if You wont to sell and consume the product as it is used by State or Municipalized Companies.
GAFI gave us the authorization to build our plant using new technology not yet existing in Egypt, has approved the import of the necessary technology and machinery. This is exactly what we did.
GAFI (General Authority For Investment): The only authority that on 1992, by law, could authorize to establish a company that had to be, by them, previously verified and approved to be within the targets of the general priorities of the economic and social development plan and within the framework of the general policy of the state.
GOFI (General Organization For Industrialization): made the study "Industrial Investment in Egypt" and was strongly recommending its realization.

"One Broken Window" of Egyptian Investment Program: "Alchemi Odissea"
True story of a bad experience with a government that has played the "Three cards games"

We think that if the theory of James Q. Wilson is applied to the economic activities, with the due modifications, big deviations can be avoided and large benefit can be obtained for the people.
Tarek Heggy, the Egyptian writers, wrote: For it is clear that we cannot embark on a process of constructive criticism of our mistakes and shortcomings before we overcome our insistence on denying their existence in the first place.
Unfortunately, convinced by the great potentiality of the market and the promise received, we have invested in a country where the "culture of denial" is a must.
Our story, till now, has lasted fourteen years.
a)- We have realized near Cairo a project suggested, supported, controlled, approved on 1992 by GAFI ( The only Authorities having the right to authorize the investments) that authorized to produce the healthiest aluminum sulfate for drinking water treatment. As per project approved we have imported a new technology not yet existing in Egypt. The product was and still is under total control of Egyptian Authorities (they fix the standard quality, control the day by day quality before its use, fix the price/quality evaluation of the product in the public tenders and consume the product). The quality improvement was denied and today in Egypt is still used the quality that abroad was considered unsafe since the 80's.
b)- As the conditions of a fair market competition promised have never been established we had to stop production on July 2002, having lost all our money invested and spent for the benefit of the Egyptian people health, with no result, ten years of our life. Our shut down made sensation but the Authorities position remained unchanged.
c)- We made our first appeal to the President Mubarak on 23/12/2003 and on April 2004 the Presidential Decrees n. 135 and 136/2004, giving new rules to the drinking water sector, were issued, but the unfair market condition remained unchanged.
d)- Thanks to our presence the Egyptian Treasury has saved at least LE 800 millions.
e)- From 2003 till 2005 we asked many times to GAFI, the Minister of Investments, the Minister of Industry, to solve our Odissea in a Solomonic way, the normal reply was "there are no instruments to solve Your problem". Meantime we became "persona non grata" as, apparently, we have touched the sensitivity (and the interests?) of one or more Officers of GAFI.
f)- At the end of 2005 GAFI refused to renew the resident permit of our Chairman,[ on the excuse that we were not "serious investors" (after having invested 7,5 millions US$ and being present on the market for nine years!)] but he was able to stay in Egypt in force of a different law. For this law, to our Chairman "work is not permitted"!.
g)- On January 2006 the Post Office before and the Ministry of Interior later, have impounded, with no reason, all the copies of the above book we sent to the attention of Italian Authorities.
h)- On February 2006 "the Government has allocated a sum of LE 1 billion to help to settle SMEs non performing loan which range between LE 1 million and LE 20 millions", but, (can You believe?) in spite of point d)- it cannot be used to solve Alchemi problem! This has a taste of a punishment and/or personal revenge.
i)- Our book "Letter to the President Hosni Mubarak" was transferred, by the President Secretariat, to the Ministry of Investments. The same happened to our letter dated 28/03/2006 and to our open letter published on 20-21-22 May 2006. Till now we have received no reply to all letters. This in line with what was done with the suggestion to solve our problem, given to GAFI by President Mubarak on April 2004, suggestion which was totally shelved.
Our company is in trouble because the governmental actions consistent with the approval of our project have never been taken. It has been preferred to support the monopolist profits instead to reduce the people health risk. We have demonstrated to be serious, committed and competent investors, wishing to produce and sell one of the safest products for human use, in line with the last scientific research, qualities that are very much needed especially in all the development Countries.
For sure we did not deserve the treatment received and today, we have only the right to became "ghost" or die.
We will be happy if You publish these notes for which content we take full responsibility. There can be the chance to avoid that somebody else can make our unpleasant experience. For Your prompt reference we attach the following documents:
a)- Resume' about the reasons of our complain.
b)- Letter to the President Hosni Mubarak dated 12/12/2005.
c)- Letter to GAFI ( General Authority For Investment) dated 04/01/2006.
d)- Open letter to President Hosni Mubarak published on 20-21-22 May 2006.
e)- "Index" of the Book "Letter to the President Hosni Mubarak"
We are ready to supply, free of charge, copy/s of the book " Letter to the President Hosni Mubarak" - Alchemi Odissea in Egypt or When a Government plays the " Three Cards Game". printed in both English and Arabic. Just send us Your full address.

"The state of the mass media in the usa, if possible, is nowadays even more apalling that the Italian. It's worse, maybe, because the myth of the 'free, liberal american press' is still enduring."

Living in the USA, I can confirm the truth of this statement. I think Noam Chomsky accurately described the function and purpose of American media -- to "manufacture consent" to the existing corporate capitalist order. This is not to deny that sometimes we can read in the New York Times or the Washington Post some good reporting and analysis. The ideology of "professionalism" and "objectivity" still governs many journalists, if not their corporate employers. But overall the US media are big businesses, and therefore conservative, and they do not question authority. A perfect example is the New York Times holding back what it knew about Bush's illegal domestic spying before the 2004 elections.

Don't take it so hard Giovanni, this in an informal Forum and we aren't going for publication any time soon. The Chilean people would gladly wish that the vile Pinochet was Argentinian.

Posted by: Enrico Rossi | August 23, 2006 10:42 PM

How can I be so ignorant?

I'm a little bit fried because I'm working on important documents.

And now, I have a memory block about the Argentinian guy.

Well, I wanted to say Chile and then I mixed up with Argentina when I thought about pissed off people.

I hope you guys will understand.

Posted by: Giovanni Principe | August 23, 2006 10:09 PM

But, sorry, Pinochet was in Chile not in Argentina....;-)
Even if, it doesen't matter, the sense of the story it's the same!

Prince: as usual your analisys of the dynamics of the manager's world is very very very fitting!

Posted by: Raffaella Biferale | August 23, 2006 07:12 PM

many Countries are governed by monsters who are committing crimes against humanity with relish. Italy, with its mafia tradition, still qualifies as amateurish in the crimes department.

Posted by: Enrico Rossi | August 23, 2006 06:56 PM

Ernesta, we now can buy a new calendar every year, as long as it says: "1984".

Posted by: High Plains Drifter | August 23, 2006 06:51 PM

To have a manager's job in Italy is tough because of these 2 factors:
1) If you do the right job somebody will throw you off an overpass
2) You have to be stupid like a crate full of anvils otherwise the companies will hire somebody dumber than you, just to screw everything up, blame even God (or the cow's farts) if something is (and will be) wrong and make feel everybody else in fear of losing their jobs and guilty because they have it.

Posted by: Giovanni Principe | August 23, 2006 06:49 PM

Even though it's certainly true that my country is lost, I think that all this is just a fragment in a wider scale plot, which probably involve Israel and the United States.

And speaking of the usa, I'm even more amazed at the almost complete lack of public reaction in that nation after the load of lies driving to the Iraq war, two stolen elections, a highly-suspicious cover-up of an enormous tragic event, illegal mass wiretapping and so on. The state of the mass media in the usa, if possible, is nowadays even more apalling that the Italian. It's worse, maybe, because the myth of the 'free, liberal american press' is still enduring.

Posted by: Ernesta Rossi | August 23, 2006 06:34 PM

We are looking more and more like Pinochet's Argentina.
We have our desaparecidos too.
The difference is that these people are murdered in the open and, as I wrote earlier, in our face.

Posted by: Giovanni Principe | August 23, 2006 06:20 PM

there was a lot of cases of so-called "suicides", first of all the "suicide" of the anarchist Pinelli (do you remember? Piazza Fontana, the bombs, the case Valpreda...)
Typical mafioso system to gag troublesome persons...

Posted by: Raffaella Biferale | August 23, 2006 03:02 PM

It is disgusting, appalling and repulsive that not a single "Italian, Christian, democratic and with their high western value MP has gone down in the piazza to protest at this vile brutal barbarity".

After all Mr Bove according to the article mentioned by Ernesta Rossi:

European investigators are tracking the mysterious deaths of two security experts who had uncovered extensive spyware in their telecommunications firms.

was an expert in spyware.

Who has to fear the outcome?
Count Dracula of Canale 5?
He under the Berlusconi government became directore of Canale % after the mass murdering plan to present the stolen, falsified document from Niger embassy regarding yellow powder cake uranium.

The participation of the secret, secret Italian criminal organisationposing as Italian secret service!
The rats are running from the sewers leaving their stench around.

Will the Italian government take any action?
I am sure you know the answer.

A good friend, an architect working in other European capital told me that they received a fax from their head office:

If you receive any offers, contracts, collaboration or anything from Italy, there is only one reply: NO

Posted by: Marcia Visanji | August 23, 2006 02:04 PM

And, like always, it's on our face.
The culprits are walking in the crowd like nothing happened.
They feel strong because, in a country like ours, the big crimes go unpunished thank to our Banana Republic's politicians.

here is another interesting article to check out:

Two Strange Deaths in European Wiretapping Scandal
By Paolo Pontoniere and Jeffrey Klein, New America Media. Posted August 19, 2006.

European investigators are tracking the mysterious deaths of two security experts who had uncovered extensive spyware in their telecommunications firms.
