The King of the paraculi

Paraculo: said of a person who is crafty, with ability to act in his own interests without making it obvious. Translated to English from Dizionario Garzanti 2006.
Paraculismo is seen in Italy especially in times of crisis. When the wind whistles and the sinful bird draws near everyone maintains their distance. The king of the paraculi has started the dance with an interview last Sunday in Il Corriere della Sera. Massimo D’Alema between tacking and a paraculata affirmed:
“There’s currently a crisis of credibility of politics which will come back to turn the country up side down with feelings like those in the 1990s that marked the end of the first Republic”.

Let’s reformulate the same phrases with other people:
Pope Ratzinger: “There’s currently a crisis of credibility of the Church which will turn us upside down.”
Totò Riina: “There’s currently a crisis of credibility of the mafia which will turn us upside down.”
Cesare Geronzi: “There’s currently a crisis of credibility of the banking system which will turn us upside down.”
Luciano Moggi: “There’s currently a crisis of credibility of football which will turn us upside down.”
Silvio Berlusconi: “There’s currently a crisis of credibility of information which will turn us upside down.”

None of these gentlemen would say a thing like that. They have a dignity to defend. Geronzi and Moggi are what they are, but at certain levels of paraculismo they have never arrived.
In politics and in journalism however paraculi are like the stars: millions of millions. And after the noble speech by D’Alema they have all arrived at the same conclusions, yes really all of them. Napolitano, Scalfari, Sergio Romano, Chiti, Bertinotti, Marini... Here we are into the absurd. We have schizophrenic politicians.
They are judges and defendants at the same time, but with their backsides always glued to the armchair. Whoever is the problem explains to us that there is a problem.
Let’s get the coins ready. One, a hundred, a thousand Hotel Raphael!

to "prof" joe, who is still learning:

"Rather than keeping on sending messages made up of 1 row only as well as talking nonsense, please just for once try to be more precise providing me an in-depht explanation to your sensless assertions, as long as you are able to do so of course!!"

ok, just for once then.

keeping on sending... doesn´t sound good.
1 row: 1 line
in-depht: in-depth
explanation to: explanation of so of course: so, of course

i would have to charge you heftly to go through all the pain of reading your messages and correcting them. but i don´t need the money and i don´t need that misery either.

joe your "corrections" are wrong. sorry, keep trying.

Prof. Joe Mill has been joined by other posters in trying to make this Blog irrelevant.
The horizontal position of a blogger becomes relevant to the argument? Grow up people, high school finished long time ago!

i am intrigued by the dumb messages you are proud to sign...

Posted by: ilaria b. | May 28, 2007 02:08 PM

Hello there, Mrs. Ilaria (Alias hilarious!)
I am intrigued less by your last name, although more by your intentional hiding it!
I am confident your bra size is directly proportional to your female ego, but here your attribute can’t be visually appreciated.
Very much up to you, since you volunteer the size and that would justify your posture.
In your case (Only), the law of gravity comes to mind, justifying the optimal position as “Horizontal only”, any other position could be detrimental to proper functioning.

ps giacomino
are you turned on by last names? or do you also want to know my address and bra size... wank on, baby!

Posted by: ilaria b. | May 28, 2007 01:08 PM

thankfully, i do not run the risk of catching your drift... i am not sure i would have the proper vaccinations to even get close to you. and your spelling still sucks. are you "fresh" off the boat?

Hello there, Mrs. Ilaria (Alias hilarious!)
Got my drifts? That’s all I wanted!
Smile you are in the UK after all, cheers and and don’t forget the family jewels (Write your full name and stand up proudly!)

giacomo c.
it really takes guts to write what you write and then sign your own name!! foul language may be ok. lack of content may be ok too. lack of logic flow, fine. (it´s pointless to be picky here...) but your spelling... spelling... spelling... do you even know what it means???? i bet you did not even suspect that, did you?

Hello there, Mrs. Ilaria B. (whatever you are?)
Not sure what “effing fashists’ means really, maybe is just a statement that reflects more the side of the writer than the side of the recipient?
Although having sat that, I really appreciate the openness of your sexual, geographical, puzzle solving capabilities that coupled with the brilliant and bloody comment listed above will sorely improve the image of this blog.
For someone that doesn’t even have the guts to write her/his/in-between full name, I am sincerely impress especially by the fact that openly shouts where she/he/?? Spends or waist her life.
As for finding the UK on the map, let’s see we may just follow either the smell or the people with brown nose, since most of the so called Anglo-Saxon civility either stuck up attitude comes from either sticking their noses up into Mr. Bush ass or riding on the back of colonies sick and tired of supporting these physically handicapped bunch.
Just in case the above description failed, just pup the cork of the Eurotunnel and we shall see them floating to the top, obviously with the Queen and her jewelry on her.
Appreciate your point of view, although a little short on details but quite explicative on your state of mind.
Good save the queen (Even the Scotland would like to dump you as well!)

Effing fascists on this blog!

Posted by: ilaria b. | May 26, 2007 11:55 PM

Hello there,
Pathetic, is the only adjective that comes to mind reading Italian news.
The level of Incompetence and Inadequacy is reaching levels of Ukraine.
While every Politicians worth of this definition (The one actually governing right now!) are all nodding at the prospect of a mayhem against the Political System (While giggling toward their Golden Parachute) garbage is burning in Naples, the second biggest Financial Institution is born (Italy is bankrupt, families have hard time, strikes everywhere while Banks and the Government have gobbles of money!)?
Nothing happens, everybody smells the rotten atmosphere, but nothing moves?
Now this election going on, does anyone aspects changes?
They already covered their butts; this election is not about the Government or the Governors!
Is about You, how much more abuse can they do to You before You react?
That’s the question?

Posted by: Giacomo Chiametti | May 26, 2007 05:12 PM

"Amato and D´Alema are the only true leaders in Italy. They are the only ones who can still save Italy from fascism."
What is your definition of true leaders? You must be thinking of someone else. These two for sure don't qualify.

Posted by: Enrico Rossi | May 26, 2007 02:34 PM

Wish all these rotten politics could just be wiped out from our lovely country, they are bringing only winds of lies, suffering, uncertainness and are destroying people life of all ages in a slow and malicious way. They do whatever is possible in their power to hide corruption, lies, and their thirst of power.
Most of them are so old in age but it is still strong their desire to be in power of everything. What are the Italians waiting… to oppose them!

Scusate ma il video della BBC non si vede piu'???

Minkia Amato is right, beppe, you delete my posts but you will not have neither you should ask for my identity,
i already wrote here that your problem is that you never admitted to be wrong on this blog, neither, i think, anywhere else, it is the problem of the demagoists and maybe also of the dictators

Posted by: f.t. jeann2 | May 26, 2007 12:21 AM

I think that Italian politicians are responsible and liable for what is happening to our country.
I think the time for them to pay is near.

Posted by: Giovanni Principe | May 25, 2007 01:40 PM

ciao a tutti e grazie beppe..
andatevi a guardare il blog di questi due, si stanno suicidando in diretta a quanto pare..

Posted by: zed | May 24, 2007 06:47 PM

Hello there,
I, most definitely a Legal Scholar or Expert am not, although (Someone in this blog could be?) a question arises in my mind continually and persistently.
Are Italian Politicians “Responsible or Liable” for whatever they do (Or better they do not do?).
Legally after 59 Government in 60 years, something is basically wrong with this system, anyone and their brother can promise the moon and get elected, gets all the perks and leave with a full bag leaving the Country with the bill.
What’s wrong with this picture?
Although the joke of the matter is that they all are still there!
Think about it.

Posted by: Giacomo Chiametti | May 24, 2007 06:09 PM

Now that the private international money changers have applied their plan to Italy the politicians realize that they are worthless.

When the people will start fighting starvation, in about 5 years time, riots will start spreading accross Europe starting from the poorer counrties like Italy.

Then it will be clear to every enlightened person that the ILLUMINATI got finally the power of Europe too, including Italy, appling their unbeatable diabolic strategy through the euro evilish currency.

The riots will set on power a invincible European Social Party that will start an endless sequel of wars with the surrounding countries.

Professionals of the mis-information will rule, those that nowadays are periferal politicians will start changing the history, replacing the words, reducing the thinkable.

Politicians being reptiles will survive. Adepts will be coptated into the super socialist european party. The mere proles will be left in misery and forgotten.

What Orwell didn't say is that the rebellion will start to fight not an enemy, but a political class that the people will consider responsible, but they will think to die for the Country but they will die for the Banks of the money changers.

That how it will start. That's how European democracy will end. Give them 5 to 8 years...

The house of cards is trembling...

Posted by: D Matthews | May 24, 2007 04:14 PM

Italy is lost. Hope is the last to die but, as far as Italian politicians are concerned, Italian citizens are nothing but hopeless.
Let's face the truth. Our politicians mirror the standard Italian fellow: lazy, stuck to any position of power, afraid of change, and, most of all, unreliable. It's easy to point a finger against them, but after all they are Italian citizens, they are born in this country and for these reasons nothing will never change in the Italian peninsula. Neither with brand-new faces popping up in that they are just other "Italians".
Our only "saver" has been the EU and those parameters set by several treaties regulating the Union. Our sole "remedy" would be to outsource our parlament to Germany or maybe some Scandinavian countries.
However, given that this option is juridically impossible, let's face reality. We are doomed!
For those who can, leave the country now. We won't have pensions, public health is absent and taxes are going to increase as the number of workers is dropping given our deficitarian birht rate.

Europe is at least an option worht considering. Downside is just learing a new language, but after all, the Italians, haven't always been emigrants?
