A citizen witness

interviste_staff_pelliciardi_EN.jpg

Daniele Pelliciardi’s witness statement should be projected onto the walls of Parliament. He is the son of two people who were tortured and killed at Gorgo al Monticano. Those who signed the law on the Great Pardon, should watch it and watch it over again. Daniele states that no one has contacted him, that he has sent a letter to Mastella without getting any reply.
The law on the Great Pardon meant the crafty ones of finance, and the corrupt public administrators avoided prison. It was voted for by the Right and the Left in Parliament who got together to defend them. But it was Mastella who put it forward and he was the one to give it its final signature. He can’t always blame the others. Rutelli and Palombelli for the aero plane, the Pope and Parliament for approving the Great Pardon.
In his blog he said I was Pinocchio. He has written that the Great Pardon has nothing to do with the horrendous crime of Gorgo. Let him say that to Daniele Pelliciardi.
Starting with this post, I want to collect together witness statements from the victims of the Great Pardon. I will do an online book: “The Pardoned”, dedicated to the Parliamentarians who voted for the law.
Write to me.

V-day, spettacoli, libri... l'obiettivo è uno: Arrivare a sapere le cose

Enough with all this!

"Grillo's Thought" is really really SIMPLE:

When you know things, you can have an opinion.

That's it!

V-day, shows, books,... there's one goal: Get to know things

Leaders of this country are loosing themselves in answering words like Valium, globulo and the last one : Alzheimer

Grillo is just a comedian in a sick country, where hidden truths are FUNNY. The system we're in has become such a addiction, that essential informations look like gigantic jokes

NOW, medias are already taking over, we're misinformed by groups of power coming from everywhere

There is the need for another impulse, but from the OUTSIDE this time

"ARMY & NAVY",ESERCITO ITALIANO,L'ITALIA DI VITTORIO VENETO E DELLA RIVOLUZIONE!;
Yet, the final blow against the AUSBURGS, came, not from the French and the Serbs,but from the enemy they had despised since Metternich's days;
For, THE ITALIANS,fearing that peace might break out before they avenged CAPORETTO, went to the offensive at last, on oct.24th. With British, French and American support, (i, rather say "token support") They launched a furious attack on the PIAVE river, which cost them 25.000 men in 60 hours of "grim fightings". On oct.30th,the AUSTRIAN HUNGARIAN LINE cave in,...and SQUADRONS OF CAVALRY AND ATMOURED CARS TOOK THE ENEMY'S HEADQUARTERS AT VITTORIO VENETO,
(The name subsequently given to the whole Battle).
Already the Austrians were suing for peace, and fightings ceased on nov. 3rd........IN TEN DAYS THE ITALIANS HAD NO LESS THAN HALF MILLION PRISONERS!

ATTENZIONE!
"A RETURN TO DISCIPLINE"!.....ristabilire il servizio militare,......CAMMINARE, COSTRUIRE, E SE NECESSARIO COMBATTERE E VINCERE!.......E L'ITALIA APPARTIENE A NOI ITALIANI!.......E FUORI DAI COGLIONI A QUALSIASI STRANIERO, SPECIA;MENTE COLORO CHE VENGONO IN ITALIA PER RUBARE E UCCIDERE E STUPRARE DONNE ITALIANE?..........MA GUARDA UN PO!.........STUPRARE DONNE ITALIANE?..MA DOVE SIAMO ARRIVATI?, MA CHI LI FA ENTRARE QUESTI BASTARDI, "good for nothing", these bastards, c**suckers? ORA BASTA!......FUORI TUTTI A CALCI IN CULO...................PRIMA CHE QUELLI CHE LI ACCOLGONO IN ITALIA, ANCHE LORO SARANNO RESI RESPONSABILI DEI CRIMINI DI QUESTI BASTARDI AI DANNI DEL POPOLO ITALIANO!

This has been and is a common problem in many countries. I remember things like this happening in the USA more than 30 years ago. That is why the movie film Death Wish with Charles Bronson was so popular. The criminals portrayed in that film were criminals already common in the USA and were going in and out of prison all the time. This is a sas reality of our modern globalized world. Of course all of us want justice to be served and some may even want more than justice. I understand the emotions that can evolve from such a situation.
I beleive that, like so many things in our societies, politics and the culture of poitics is the cause of these problems. Also, I beleive that in a democracy it is also the voter's responsibility to a certain degree. I will explain this a little bit later.
Criminals are creations of our society. Very few criminals are born criminals, they LEARN how to be a criminal living in the enviroment their society provides. To keep things short my point is that the majority of criminals are products of their societies. This is the OLD sociologigal and psychological argument of many past years. As much as social scientists have tried to convince politicians how to better the enviroments that people live in, politicians just don't/didn't want to listen. The same example can be made by teachers in education systems in the US. For years teachers have been pleading to have the proper clasrrom size of no more than 15 students per teacher. This is the optimum class size a teacher can handle alone if one wants a quality education. What to politicians do? They say no, cut education budgets and so on and our education system becomes what it is. If people have to live without jobs, without assitance, etc. is more than clear that criminals will develop. In addition, the state in which the prisons are handled and run is not a way to reabilitate people back into society.
I know I over generalized for the sake of room but, modern culture needs to change its old medevil ways, listen to social scientist & teachers in order to make effective changes that will decrease crime and the criminal mind.
Pardoning criminals is not the way!

Rolando: A never applied law of the nineteenth century (1875, if my memory is not faulty) obliges France to provide a cell for any convict or imprisoned person waiting for a trial. The new president has promised to collect money enough to build the needed cells in order to apply the law. This is the only way to put into practice the aim of the Republique that any convict should be given all chances to recover. Prisons should not be a school for criminality, as they are under promiscuity.

I am not aware of any similar law, or (from any side) project, or proposal in Italy.

When faced by the abominable situation that you describe, how to comment the proposal by the Italian Prime Minister (today on the newspapers) to pursue the project of boring the mountains to build a much adversed (by all scientists) new tunnel through the Alps? The huge amount of money needed for the tunnel would be more than enough for the cells (and other humanitarian needs).

I agree that the campaign should look farther than removing a Head, no matter how such a removal would be deserved and useful.
