The European Court of Justice has issued a decision that obliges the Italian State to assign the radio-TV frequencies.
The Court found in favour of Europa 7, whose frequencies are occupied by Arcore’s propaganda network, also called Rete 4. The Court has pointed out that the regime for assigning frequencies in our country:
- does not respect the principle of the free provision of services
- does not have selection criteria that are objective, transparent, non-discrimating and proportionate (then it finished the adjectives)
The opinion of the European Court follows that in favour of Europa 7 by the Constitutional Court, by the Council of State and by the Advocate General of the European Court of Justice on 12 September 2007 (that overturned the Gasparri law).
I expect that the law will be applied without having to go to the NATO or the United Nations. But then I’m sure it won’t happen. With the usual trick: they’ll change the law.
The radio-TV frequencies are a concession, which means they are the property of the State, which can decide, freely, to whom they are assigned. The frequencies thus belong to the citizens, our property.
The laws that have organised the radio-TV system, from the Mammì law to the Gasparri law, have created a monster: the Unified Text. To change it even partly, is useless. It should be eliminated so as to be able to start from nothing and define new rules that guarantee true information.
On 25 April, I will put forward three referendum for “Freedom of Information in a free State”:
- abolition of public financing of the press
- abolition of the professional association of journalists
- abolition of the Unified Text dated 31 July 2005 (D.Lgs. 177) that today represents the framework of regulations for TV and radio.
As regards the radio and TV frequencies, I will put forward a proposal for a new law with the help of experts in the sector. Stay tuned!

It's a delight to see that the influence of Howard Dean has spread to Italy. Truth be told, Dr. Dean didn't know a thing about the inernet when he got started on his quest to bring a change to U.S. democracy.
When he abandoned the presidential quest, his blog almost died. But, it continues strong and you are invited to visit and join in a conversation that goes on 'round the clock.
You will have to register to leave comments, but you can use a "handle"

For awhile, in Afghanistan, it looked as though one could be put to death for reading a report. Sayed Pervez Kabmksh, 23,was accused, tried and sentenced to death by an Islamic court for downloading, from the internet, a report on women's rights and distributing it to his friends -a simple but deadly act in the land where Italian soldiers are getting killed. It took the pressure of 38,000 signatures on an e-petition, -started by The Independent on-line- and high-level diplomats and British politicians to get the Karzai's government to relent on the absurd verdict. No cake-walk to be sure: the Afghan senate relented, on the drastic punishment, only after spotting "technical errors" in trial. Now, shouldn't our politicians, who voted in favor of the mission in Afghanistan, ask themselves if the lives of Italian soldiers should be put on the line to defend a country governed by a parliament rife with war criminals and has no freedom of the press?

(…) Ce n'è abbastanza per rinchiuderlo. E' un individuo oggettivamente pericoloso e socialmente utile»[1]

Hello everyone,
Some ideas Italian President (230 Million per Year!) and Italian Institutions should Consider as viable:
1) Outsource Justice System to China! (Will actually generate positive cash flow within 1 year, manpower leased to Corporation or else!)
2) Open bid all Government Agencies, from Transport to Aviation, Freeway, Train, Electricity Supply, Telephones.
3) Defense Department should be dismantled is worthless with troops under the UN!
4) Last but not least, break up Italy into Regions and remove Italy from the Map, everyone is free to join adjacent Nations, for the south Libia is a possibility up to Naples as well.
5) Exile Mr. Berlusconi as Undesirable in one of his Villas somewhere.
6) Give all the Fiscal matter to Major Banking Conglomerate (BoA, D.Bank, Goldman Sachs or the IMF, they are all working for them any how, just skip the middle Management worthless!)
7) Last just get a Passport and leave!.
The future looks bright wear shades.

The Moral Demise!
Demise of a Country can and should be avoided, if not for what represent at least for the will of the People believing in It.
Although when the Demise in question is of a specific Group or an Aggregation of People, well that is a different subject and animal all together.
To make the Italian situation even worst, is the fact that this specific Group has practically and actually control of any Institutions or Agencies of such a Country.
This is an actual fact, they tell you one thing while doing exactly the opposite, and they tell you we will fix everything while nothing changes.
I really admire whoever stands up to the establishment, especially when they are completely unaccountable and inept as clearly demonstrated in the Italian case.
At this juncture I feel sorry for Italians, you are the Don Quixote and the Windmills, while La Dolcevita that you had is past and gone, while they got you by the huevos and they are asking you to cough.
You have the vote as last resort, they will use it to get more money in their pocket while promising you another La Dolcevita!
For the last 60 years, streetwise guys have fooled Italians, shame on you, now here is your chance read the fine print, ask for a Program and most Important attach consequences to their Promises.
No Martini, No Party!
No changes and corruption, someone will disappear from the streets and become rapid cement in some building.
As Newton stated, One Action equal to An Equal in Opposite Direction Reaction!
This is the real World, the playing time is over, otherwise pull the plug and look at Italy spiraling down the Toilet that is already overflowing.
The future looks bright, yours is in your hand, get the shades off when you pee.

Conteggiare i voti bianchi.

OK, Mr Di Stefano's rights have been recognized. From where will now be drained the financial damage that Mr Di Stefano is rightly claiming? From the State, i.e., from the pockets of the impoverished citizen? The citizen expects that such damage is paid by those who have caused the damage and those who have occupied the channel due to Mr Di Stefano.

Problems are adding to problems, while both the politicians and media are diluting the potion. Attention to the "electoral law" has been reduced to favor formation of big parties to stabilize the system. That would be OK if all other affairs were in order. They are not. The independent citizen (I mean independent from the parties) expects also:
(a) That the politicians are chosen by the citizen;
(b) As we are in a democracy, that the politician is "clean";
(c) That unbalance between the lowest salaries for the citizen and the highest remuneration for the politician among "developed" European countries is immediately reassessed. Increasing salaries to workers is difficult, while decreasing compensations to politicians is easy. Could be done overnight.
(d) That that of politician be considered a temporary job, subjected to the same fringe benefits and pension schemes applied to all other jobs (this includes also revising extra benefits existing in other categories: you know which ones).

I am not saying anything new, just reminding that this common knowledge is systematically diluted, pivoting on the Italian saying that "Chiodo scaccia chiodo". This is the perspective the independent citizen is looking at what is going on. A desperate view.
Cheers, francesco pietra
