Let all hell be let loose

In Italy there are the “Indignados”, there’s the “Popolo Viola” in its various chromatic declensions, there are the German-Italian Pirates and the Swedish-Italian Pirates, there are the Italian-Icelandic "direct democrats". But there is not the “MoVimento 5 Stelle” (M5S) {5 Star MoVement}. The media are continually creating clones of imported movements with a total disdain of the ridiculous. It’s as though in Madrid, there were “Las Cinco Estrellas” and not the “Indignados”. These labels are useful to the parties for two objectives. The first is to black out the M5S, that becomes an acronym among the many. The second is to create their own reserve tank of votes for the forthcoming elections. It’s no mystery that important demonstrations of the Popolo Viola have been financed by the parties.
An example of this information, one among many and not the worst, is an article by Federico Mello the day after the statements made by the “German pirates”: “ …. 8.9 of the total are the votes gathered …. by the Party of the German Pirates at the Berlin regional elections . The computer Pirates are the most interesting formation that have appeared in the last few years. In 2006 I went to Sweden to interview Rickard Falkvinge, the founder of the Swedish party, the first that has appeared on the international stage. Since then … the “Piratpartiet” has spread out across all of Europe, and in the USA, and in 2009, it managed to send 2 deputies to the European Parliament. …At the centre of their programme … the liberation of the Internet, of copyright and of soft drugs … the request of total transparency in politics, the topic of participation, free transport and a minimum guaranteed wage for young people … this is a platform that is much more concrete on which to build a political proposal that is credible over the years. And if to all that - as I hope will happen - there’s the addition of topics connected to environmental sustainability, innovation, support for education and research, then truly they could become a really useful tool in the politics of the future. For Italy, that for twenty years has been going in the specularly opposite direction, it would be a great gift if something similar were to be created.”
Something similar? Crikey. This guy is talking about the M5S and he doesn’t know it exists. Where is he living? Rickard Falkvinge, the leader of the Swedish Pirates, held the M5S in his arms at its christening on 4 October 2009 at the Teatro Smeraldo in Milan. The programme of the Iceland Movement that is calling for direct democracy is very similar, and in certain points identical, to the M5S programme and one of its leaders, the deputy, Birgitta Jonsdottir, participated in “Woodstock a 5 Stelle” {5 Star Woodstock} in Cesena and gave a speech. I met up with the Indignados in Barcelona and a Spanish newspaper headlined: "Los 'indignados' españoles tienen un modelo a seguir en Italia". The M5S has about 150 town and regional councillors and it is given between 4 and 6 % at the elections. Italy would give itself a great gift if it did away with this information and these journalists.
Don’t let yourselves be phagocytized by the parties. You have power. On the Internet, you can exercise it. When you read rubbish, reply immediately and give the true facts in a comment. “Let All hell be let loose.” Perhaps someone will mend his ways or change professions. They will never give up (but is it in their interests?). Neither will we.
PS. Remember my dates for the regional elections in Molise:
- Thursday 13 at 17:00 piazza principale at Isernia
- Thursday 13 at 20:00 piazza principale at Termoli

I have been an Australian citizen since 1970, and lived in Victoria and Queensland over this time.
In late August 2008, at age 62, I came to live in Thailand, been here for the last 2 years.
In August this year 2011 I returned to Australia for two weeks and lodged my age pension forms, thinking that as an Australian Citizen and after having spent almost 40 years in the country, I would be able to claim it. To my surprise I received notification from Center link stating that my application was declined because I did not live in Australia for the previous 2 years ?????? According to Center link I was no longer a resident. (considering that I have 1 brother 1 sister 4 children, 8 grand children, and scores of relatives that live in Oz.) as well as 60+ relatives that passed away and are buried there.
I am not a mathematician, but 3/4 of my life was spent in Australia believing that I belonged to the pack (proud Australian) , then I left the country for 5 minutes, and by pure magic I lost my rights.
I am totally confused, they have asked me to live in Australia for 2 years before I could claim it !!!!! what happened to almost 40 years that I lived there ????
The mighty Australia, the crusader of human rights, the world leader in everything and anything, the lucky country, the , the ,the…………(to many virtues and qualities to list here) is conveniently ROBBING me of my basic rights ????
It seems to me that Center link , and policy makers have difficulty understanding the terms “Citizenship” and “Residency”
Citizenship is a privilege given by any government to a citizen allowing him to live in a country .
Residency is a privilege that any citizen should have in deciding where one wants to live.
Conveniently the Australian government (Center link) is using the loophole of “residency) to refuse to pay Old Age Pension if one does not live in Australia two years prior of claiming OAP.
I lived in Australia for 40 years, (continually) worked, pay my dues, and lived as perfect citizen, and paid my taxes up and till 2011.
One does not have to be a mathematician, but 40 years is far greater than 2.
Something is wrong somewhere, and it seems that illegal immigrants and refugees receive a far better treatment.
I am AN AUSTRALIAN , lived and worked there all my working life, and my life can not be re winded.
Old Age pension is just that “OLD AGE PENSION) , no bull shit, no loop holes, no ifs & buts, no trickery, and above all politicians must remember that past and current generations …. MADE THE COUNTRY THAT AUSTRALIA IS.
Is common knowledge that anything that has strings attached is NOTHING BUT A CON, PERIOD.
(Scrap the two year ruling), 20,30 or 40 years in the country is far greater then 2 years, don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand that.
Centre link must come to their senses, and “CALL A SPADE A SPADE” no strings attached.
God bless Australia
A very disgruntled Australian

Germany reacts to Berlusconi’s outburst against Angela Merkel:
From our correspondent in Berlin
Diplomatic relations between Italy and Germany have deteriorated following President Berlusconi’s unacceptable verbal attack on Angela Merkel. Germany has announced a call up of its forces and powerful armoured divisions have moved to its southern borders. A two pronged attack through France and Switzerland at high speed by Mercs, BMWs and Audis could reach the Italian capital in hours along the autostradas.
At the same time heavy armoured vehicles known as camping cars would cross the mountain passes. These vehicles can hold up to six people with provisions to keep them auto sufficient for 15 days. They come with sophisticated telecommunications including mobile phones, satellite TVs and radios and bikes used for reconnaissance and raiding missions in the forests hills and countryside. Their aim is to disrupt communications in Italy’s winding mountainous roads. Their slow pace means that no other vehicle can possibly get past.
Germany can also count on its pansy divisions in reserve based in fashionable areas of Munich and Berlin and a strong patriotic infantry contingent – the Biermacht. They line up in organised rows, shoulder to shoulder, swinging to and fro armed with large beer mugs which they wave aloft. When emptied their mugs are constantly replenished by the supplies division of buxom wenches. But casualties can be high as after several rounds they tend to collapse leaving gaps in their ranks.
Italy’s defence relies on Fiats, Lancias and Alfas but they are no match for the five metre long heavy German motorized vehicles. Instead Italy has mobilized light motorized divisions of motorbikes and scooters ideal for use in urban areas using hit and run tactics. They have also constructed layers of impenetrable spaghetti along the northern borders. Anyone caught up in the twisting web of pasta, even armed with forks, risks being trapped and suffocating to death.
Given the distance to the German capital, Berlin, Italy relies on its air power to bombard German cities with pizzas. But its fleet of Alitalia aircraft are often delayed due to fog, strikes, or financial losses and miss their targets. In retaliation Germany’s own air force Lufthansa has organized raids over Italian cities dropping heavy potatoes on the civilian population whose only defence is to hang washing across the narrow city streets.
Germany has had to resort to drastic measures to protect its citizens from the thousands of pizza take away restaurants across the country by confiscating delivery bikes and putting the Italian restaurant staff under house arrest. Armed guards have been placed outside armed with sausages. Angela Merkel’s call to arms “Fix Bratwurst” has rallied her people while Italy’s pizza factories are working overtime in an effort to assist the country’s military programme.
Italy has accused Germany of using biological weapons by dropping sauerkraut from its aircraft to contaminate Italy’s population. Germany’s response has been to accuse Italy of poisoning its people through a black liquid called espresso. In an attempt to avoid all out conflict a meeting has been proposed between Berlusconi and Merkel. The Italian president is believed to be holed up in his Sardinian hideaway, the Bongagarten, but Merkel has not been invited. Rumours have it that her credentials are unsuitable and Berlusconi does not appreciate her cosy relationship with French President Sarkozy.
It is also believed that powerful foreign interests are attempting to take advantage of the situation. Secret saboteurs in Wall Street and the City of London have been training and arming speculators with financial weapons of mass destruction to infiltrate Milan and Frankfurt to destroy the economies of both countries.
Radio and TV are being used extensively for propaganda purposes. Germany can control the air waves and TV stations for hours, if not days, with its operas hoping for Italians to beg for mercy, while Italy attempts to lull its opponents into a romantic tearful, surrender by repeatedly playing Pavarotti and Bocelli.
Italy’s last option is to use its secret weapon: illegal parking. It has been infiltrating every Germany town and city with compact vehicles from its 500 brigade using their creative ability to squeeze into the narrowest of spaces and park anywhere, in “angles unknown to geometry” as they have been called, to create havoc by bringing traffic to a standstill.
