Interview with Silvana Carcano, candidate for the position of president of the Region of Lombardy and M5S spokesperson

Ciao everyone. Heartfelt greetings to all the friends of Beppe Grillo’s blog. My name is Silvana Carcano. I’m the M5S’s candidate for the position of president of the Region of Lombardy.
I’m 40 years old and I live in Paderno Dugnano and I have two splendid daughters.
I have always been involved in politics through various committees, associations and forums.
I would like to propose a model for the Region of Lombardy that is extremely different from what we have today, from many points of view.
I would like it if anyone doing politics for the region of Lombardy would begin to start thinking about a concept that right now is no longer being talked about, namely the concept of “less”. That is:

Less energy
We have to start to think about wasting less, of using less energy and thus working on energy-consuming buildings, by working alongside the classical Energy Safe Companies, that will do all those energy saving activities that will allow us to go and reduce the demand for energy.

Less cement
Stop the wild cementification of our land. The Region of Lombardy is one of the regions in Europe that is covered with the most cement and unfortunately, I have to say that today, to take up even a single square centimetre of public land has become a criminal action.
The relationship that we have between public green space and the citizens of Lombardy is bringing a drastic disadvantage for anyone and especially those who are more vulnerable, like the children. So we need to have a renewal of the public green space and especially of agriculture, because discussing putting a stop to cementification, means talking about a renewal of our agriculture.

Right now, they are trying to copy what we do. They are using LiquidFeedback as though it were easy to use it in just two months, and even just to teach citizens how to use it in such a short space of time, is impossible.
They are trying to copy us by promoting young people and women, in a reality in which I am the only woman as you can see, and I’m the youngest. Instead, what is being put forward by the other traditional parties are always the usual lies!
