Become a 5 Star Activist!

The “MoVimento 5 Stelle” {5 Star MoVement} has no money, but it has the extraordinary participation of people. Every day in the squares that are heaving with people, some that have never been so full, even in the time after the second world war with Christian Democrats and Communists, with De Gasperi and Togliatti and Guareschi’s posters plastered up everywhere. The M5S is a political community that is being created. It’s a child that wants to grow massive. In this Tsunami Tour I’m meeting some really heartwarming people. I’m worn out by this unending “on the road” election campaign. I sleep in my bunk in the camper. As soon as I lie down, I’m asleep and in the morning, there’s Walter waking me up to have a coffee. I ask where I am and then I ask him to leave me in peace for another quarter of an hour. It’s the same picture every day. Every day a new place with people I don’t know who are smiling at me. I would like this journey to go on forever and when it finishes, I know I’ll feel out of place, abandoned, an exile in my own home. I’ll miss the faces and the smiles of Italy, from Sicily to Friuli, all different, but all basically the same. Everywhere I feel the will to change, to turn things upside down, to start again whatever, with a new direction, because the way we are going now can no longer be continued. It’s no longer possible to go on as we are doing. I am reading this in the eyes of the people. The forthcoming elections will be decisive for getting us out of the stinky pond that this country has become or to stay there for who knows how much longer. Change is possible. What seemed impossible yesterday is becoming reality today. You are the M5S. I’m asking you to distribute the manifesto. I’m asking you to let people know about the candidates, and to talk about these issues with people who have no access to the Internet. From today, anyone who wants to, can become a 5 Star activist and move Italy towards a better future.
