Bersani, dead man talking

47morto-che-parla.jpg

Bersani is a political stalker. For days he has been harassing the M5S with indecent proposals instead of resigning as anyone else would do in his position. He’s even managed to lose while winning. He has even done worse than poor Waterloo Veltroni. Bersani has spent the last few months thinking up exquisitely political opinions, including:
"Web Fascists, come here and tell us we’re zombies"
"With Grillo we’ll end up like Greece"
"Lenin is no match for Grillo"
"You’re a useless autocrat"
"Grillo is leading people outside democracy"
"Grillo is leading to disaster"
"Grillo wants to govern on top of the rubble"
"Grillo is taking people for a ride"
"Inside the 5 Star movement there’s not much democracy
"Grillo makes promises like Berlusconi"
"Grillo says things that are unknown to all the democracies"
"Grillo? He can take us out of Europe"
That’s enough with just one man in charge. Let’s look into each other’s eyes. The Internet is not enough"
"If Grillo wins, the country will be in a mess"
"We are the top party by a very wide margin and this means that we are understood. Because unlike that one there who shouts, we look at each other eye to eye and we hold primaries. We are in the midst of the people."
"Indecent, a male chauvinist like Berlusconi"
"Coming from Grillo there’s populism that can become dangerous"
Now this failed stain removing operator has the cheek to ask us for our support: "I know they used to tell us to 'go home'. Now they're in parliament too. Italy is also their country. Let's see what they want to do for their country and the country of their offspring."
In the last twenty years the PD has been in government for at least 10 years and in the last 18 months it has been in the super-government with the PDL voting for any rubbish from Rigor Montis. Hand shakes and daily hugs between Alfano and Bersani in the Lower House, do you remember?
The M5S will not support any “confidence vote” for the PD (nor for the others). In parliament it will vote for the laws that are in accordance with its programme irrespective of who proposes them. If Bersani wants to propose the abolition of public contributions to the parties starting from these elections, we’ll back that enthusiastically (the M5S has turned down the 100 million euro due to them). If he wants to insert into the timetable the introduction of a citizen’s income we’ll vote for that with passion.

@Patrick Verhoeven,

Thanks for your comments. It is just few days that we know the outcome of Italian elections. Too early to know what will be the real intentions and behavior of the winners. I see the M5S as a democratic movement where the important decisions are discussed and considered in appropriate venues with the participation of the relevant groups and particularly involving the M5S's newly elected parliamentarians. After then we will be able to see who runs away from their responsibilities.

Let us wait and see. I optimistically believe Mr Grillo will not disappoint his voters and generally the Italian people.

Yours

@ Abdulkadir Tahlil

I completely agree with you !

I always try to judge my own behaviour by asking myself: Would the world become a better place if everybody would act like me.

Ofcourse, if all italian politicians would be like Mr. Grillo CLAIMS he is, than Italy would be a much better place (I have to say, Italy is already a good and wonderful place, I have been there many times).

But at the other side, if all italian politicians would ACT like Mr. Grillo does now, which means that they simply run away for their responsibilities, than Italy would be far worse of than today.

It is getting time that Mr. Grillo stops doing what he accuses his opponents of, playing games with Italy. He should take up his responsibility and start doing what many of his voters want: Start serious negotiations with Bersani.

Ofcourse everything should be brought upon the table, some of Mr. Grillo's important demands should be met by Mr. Bersani, some of Bersani's demand (structural reform of Italys economy) should be met by Mr. Grillo.

And after that, you do no longer question the agreement (unless there are unexpected far reaching new facts) but carry it out.

Italy needs a stable reform minded government for 4 years !

Greetings from the USA, my Italian friends!

You are fighting the good fight, and freedom loving people everywhere are with you. My children and my grandchildren will live a better life, because of your courage and commitment to your own future, and theirs.

Rock on!

Dear Dr.Paolo Mazzarello,

Thanks for the compliments. The sense of duty is a rare quality among Italian politicians. We know about Senator Grillo's extra-parliamentarian activities. Noble, incisive and truthful exposure of the public administration failures, corruption and malpractices. Now he is a Member of Parliament, Leader of the first political party in Italy. Italy needs a government. A good government. Senator Grillo has the chance to try to give Italian people a negotiated responsible government. Negotiations (on the programs and the skills/reputations of the people called in the cabinet) does not mean always as "inciuccio".
I see in that an example of sense of duty.

Yours

Posted by: Claudia | February 28, 2013 03:33 PM

Beppe, why not ask to all political parties to symbolically refuse any refund elections as M5S did and wait their answer ?
as this all world media will relay your request and they will be forced to answer...

Beppe my greetings. I have to tell you that you give
hope to every democratic person of the planet. Dont
here the voices of the "system", you know well what they work for, why and with which way. Please prove your self honest and respect the millions that vote you(almost the population of my country). The italian people and you are-at the moment- the biggest hope for a real democratic future and evolution for all humanity. Be strong, we are spiritually with you for as long you keep your posittion. Hasta la victoria sempre!

Buongiorno Beppe Ok i TOTALLY AGREE but Now its time all three parties PD , PDL and yours get together and really TRY to work together like we have to every day at work we dont always SHARE the same ideas but to make a bussiness work you need to collaborate the same applies to a country. I am italian and proud of my heritage but Now Lets show the rest of the world that we can work together for a better future for my child Lets start to look at the families with small bussiness like in my family we are struggling to keep ourselves from drowning so why not send all these Messages into parlament and get them to read them ...only today i read fini Will get over €200thousand euros + over €4500 pension you know my mother only get €470. Thats where they should reflect. If they all really care ......

there is a way out,

if out of the total of 54 M5S senators only 38 exit the senate for the vote (voto di fiducia) to install a government
and 16 of them stay and vote NO FIDUCIA (or don't vote, which counts as a no) then even if all the Berlusconi senators exit there would still be the "numero legale"

If I've done the math correctly

then the Deocratic Party and it's coalition could vote them selves into government without receiving the "confidence vote" of the "moVimento 5 settle"

it's all about the "numero legale" which is half of the senators (plus one) that have to be present in the senate to validate any vote

if all the senators of the M5S exit the senate the PD coalition would win the VOTO DI FIDUCIA (to install a goverment, which the country needs) but the problem is that also the senators of Berlusconi would exit the Senate and there would be no "numero legale"

but if out of the total of 54 M5S senators only 38 exit the senate for the vote and 16 of them stay and vote NO FIDUCIA (or don't vote which counts as a no) then even if all the Berlusconi senators exit there would still be the "numero legale"

there are 315 senators
if I'm not completely wrong to them you have to add 4 "senatori a vita" Monti, Ciampi, Colombo and Andreotti
so the total number is 319

for the "numero legale" there have to be 158 senators present (or 160 if all 4 "senatori a vita" are also there to vote)

PD coalition plus Monti makes 142 senators

if they all vote YES then they have a majority, if 38 of the 54 senators of the M5S exit momentarily for the vote and 16 stay and either don't vote or vote NO (which counts as the same)

Berlusconi has 117 senators so the total of NO would be
16 (M5S) + 117 (Berlusconi) + 2 + 4 = 139

139 is less than 142 so it doesn't matter if the senators of Berlusconi stay or leave in that case

Once there is a government, the M5S and Grillo can do what he proposed and vote yes or no (and all the M5S senators can stay in the senate) as in Sicily and the M5S vote is determinative because without it there is no "numero legale" so the old parties can't go on "a colpi di voto di fiducia"

Giuliana Bonini Massa

Beppe,
I have seen your interview at the BBC. I must say I am not entirely convinced. If PdL and PD (meno L) need an excuse to come together again, it is you who are giving them this excuse. Do you realize that, just to survive, they can stay together for the next five years ... and what will be left of Italy after that?
Give a chance to the new government to start (without Berlusconi) and try to get done what is needed (conflict of interest, anti-corruption, reduced subsidies to political parties and media, cut the military expenses!). You can be sure that with such a program it will be the PD who will withdraw the "fiducia"... at that point they really will not have any excuse.

I think what we now have is Joseph And his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. I think he has truly lost the plot. His intransigence, despotic nature and hate shows that their is little difference between him and other Italian politicians. Ho hum.. here we go again with another round of Nero fiddles while Rome burns... unfortunately the country has already been reduced to ashes.

Grillo,

Paolo Antonelli

Grillo,

I had the pleasure to meet you while working at a satellite station in Benevento. You had my respect as a young comedian, and you have it now as an individual. I do understand your position, but honestly your latest statements do not help neither me to come back to Italy, I had to leave the country once more to continue working as a researcher, nor my kids to grow professionally in our country.
Please embrace the responsibility the Italian people gave you, and try to direct your energy into a constructive project. Maybe this is a good time to switch gear, for you and for the Democratic Party. We had enough of this continuous confrontation, try to look at us as children in front their fighting parents. I hope you agree that strength and firmness are not expressed through abusive language.

I trust you and Bersani as a leaders more than the others, please lead us.

Dear Mr. Abdulkadir, compliments for your very good Italian. However, your issue is quite impossible: Mr. Grillo has a great sense of duty. Yours sincerely, Paolo Mazzarello

Dear Mr. Verhoeven, Mr. Grillo really does not force anyone to do business together because those guys will do them the same any way. However, it is correct you advice the M5S leader do not handle them this way: Gospel is always resort. Thanks for your comment. Yours truly, Paolo Mazzarello

Senatore Grillo,

No Bersani & Co.

Buon lavoro

Abdulkadir, Birmingham, UK.

Mr. Grillo, 26% of people voted for you and now after the elections you try to make them believe that you help them by running away and not taking responsability. You want to force Bersani and Berlusconi to do business together hoping that this fails and that you gain even more in new elections. You are playing political games with Italy.

And what you say about your opponents: In Holland we have a saying, you see the splinter in your opponents eye but not the rafter in your own eye !
