The M5S candidate for the position of Mayor of Rome: Marcello De Vito

After the online voting to choose the candidates for the Parliamentary elections for the Lower and Upper Houses and for the Regional elections for Lombardy, yesterday saw the conclusion of the online voting to choose a candidate for the position of mayor of Rome as well as the 48 candidates for the positions as councillors. The 5 Star MoVement’s candidate for the position of mayor of Rome Marcello De Vito. He’s 38 years old; he has a degree in jurisprudence and he was born in Rome where he grew up. All the results can be accessed here. There were 2,383 people who had the right to vote. These people had signed up to the M5S with digitalised documents. 3,039 preferences were expressed for the choice of mayor and 3,222 preferences were expressed for the choice of councillors. The practice of having online elections to choose the people to represent citizens is catching on slowly. It’s a tool for democratic choices, for direct democracy. A trustworthy system for online voting is just the first tool available to citizens to make their choices in an immediate and direct way.

As a Uk resident with dual citizenship I view your the stance you have taken in not grouping in a coalition as being fantastical.

Whilst I agree that the political system is corrupt and the administration snail like and Byzantine, though I sense that the voters themselves in the main see no great harm in this. I believe that you pushed open a door for clean and effective politics but now that you are inside the room you have lost it and displaying Mussolini traits of oratory and bravado and missing the bigger picture of using political power.

With Berlusconi and you Italy is certainly the land of the clowns.

oggi sabato 23/03/2013 , oggi il mio pc ( nero di rabbia ) perchè da pagine web , dalle tv di stato mi sta dicendo che non è vero che sono 4 milioni di poveri ( danno questo numero piccolo per non creare paura ) i poveri ITALIANI-STRANIERI sono oltre 6 milioni , tutto per colpa dello STATO-INPS , adesso viene tolta la pensione a oltre 120 mila bisognosi , la pensione minima , l'invalido si và a controllare cioè vale il cumulo di reddito , io da pensionato ho pagato un rm 66 euro di cui 30 è la somma pagata effettivamente , 36 in più per la regione lombardia che con formigoni ha rubato per 18 anni , la spesa farmaceutica facciamola pagare ai famosi 720 mila persone ricchissime che non hanno pagato le tasse ( only una piccola multa ) è un gioco da ragazzi a non pagare le tasse in ITALIA ; dove l'imprenditore che vince 5 appalti , 4 li subaffitta e non è responsabile di questi , invece creare la legge dove chi vince l'appalto e subaffitta e lui che è responsabile del personale in nero , è lui dei rifiuti ecc.ecc , non ho paura di ritornare a votare M5S ma vorrei che si và con la nuova legge e nello stesso tempo abolire la legge Fornero , perchè il governo Monti e i nuovo partiti non si rendono conte che questa legge ogni giorno fà perdere oltre 72 posti di lavoro solo nella mia MILANO , adesso fatevi voi i conti !

Actually, not really.

The Guardian states the following:
that Riccardo Pacifici, who is head of the oldest continuous Jewish community in the world, [in Italy] said that Grillo and the M5S are more dangerous than the fascists:
"Grillo's party is more dangerous than the fascists……"

But then, the Corriere, [in italian unfortunately ] writes that this was not said by Riccardo Pacifici, and quoting Riccardo Pacifici:
«Non ho mai dichiarato che il movimento di Beppe Grillo è peggiore dei fascisti e non l'ho mai pensato»
Translation: I have never declared that the Beppe Grillo movement are worse than the fascists nor ever thought it.

So basically, we have an English newspaper, amongst many Italian ones, warmongering, between the Jews and the Grillini.

Why ?

Simple.

Everyone, even a left wing populist newspaper such as the Guardian, are all shit scared of …er Grillo the fascist ?
The Grillini, members of the er … Five Star Movement the Nazis ?

Nope…..
Ever had a proper look at the Grillini ?
Ever really saw a live show by Beppe Grillo ?

If you had, you'd understand that comparing Grillo and his merry band to the Nazis is like saying that Mary Poppins invented the vibrator and sex on the internet.

Nope. This has nothing to do with it.
They are all shit scared because although they don't understand it [yet], Grillo and the 5SM, represent something completely new, unimaginable, and worrying.

And that being the "NEW GLASSNOST" v.2013_beta.

Great.

In 200 years time the Italians will be remembered for:
inventing banks
discovering the other half of the world
the mafia
best fashion and cooking in the world
nice climate
fascism
berlusconism
the fall of the Euro
political transparency and allowing the general population participation in how anyone can or cannot screw up the country we live in.

Go for it Beppe and the Grillini. Go for it.
