Watch out for the wolves!
In the book called "White Fang" by Jack London each night a wolf lures a sled dog into the forest. Whichever dog follows his scent is led a long way away from the fire and is devoured by a pack of wolves waiting for him in the snow. In the period after the elections, the TV presenters, full time employees of the PDL and the PDminusL, use a similar technique. With a charming voice, their aim is to publicly tear to pieces anyone who is a supporter of the M5S or an M5S elected representative and show the public at home that the person being interviewed is in this order: ignorant, unprepared, out of this world, shabby, naive, of diminished responsibility, untrustworthy, and incompetent. Or they try to demonstrate the theory that the person being interviewed is close to the PDminusL, to the government, or a rebel in relation to Grillo’s incoherent way of thinking, or sensible, and like Bersani. In either case, the TV host sucks the (presumed or real - but more frequently just presumed) 5 Star person like an ice lolly, he chews them like chewing gum, and then spits them out, happy with his badmouthing task. He’s paid by the parties to do that.
The fury of the TV channels in relation to the M5S has reached limits never before seen in the history of the Republic. It’s devastating, morbid, sick, monstrous and is perhaps getting beyond the control of its instigators, as was seen with the mad assault at the Hotel Universe in Rome where the new M5S parliamentarians had a meeting last Monday. Frenzied Scenes. This is no longer reporting, but a form of continual vilification, of defamation, of attack, even physical, against a new non-corrupt and peaceful political entity. The TV channels are in the hands of the parties, this is an anomaly to be removed as soon as possible. The Seven TV Stepsisters are not providing news, but propaganda. It’s essential to create a single public TV channel without connections to the parties and to politics and without advertising. The other two that are left can be sold to the market. What’s needed is a review of the contracts for the private TV concessions and the definition of an ethical code to be followed. On Monday the M5S parliamentary groups elected two leader/spokespersons for the next three months: Roberta Lombardi for the Lower House, and Vito Crimi for the Senate. They are authorised to speak after holding discussions and sharing content with the other members of the group. Watch out for the wolves!

Beppe reminds me of the great Hugo Chavez in some way. Great to see that Beppe is still the same person today as he was back in 1998.....

The character of the movie ‘Dance with Wolves’ is skillful and gains a little rescuing in place of an impossible freedom. PDminusL cannot do any reform and it is better doesn’t do anything at all: Franz wrote very well from the Ancient Austrian Empire and I’m happy somebody remembers us from there.

I read what Mr Maltese has written today, Fri 8, on La Repubblica: "carpe diem". It seems most reasonable for MS5 to join the PD for immediate reforms on what they (on the paper) agree. It seems to be antidemocratic that two people decide what to do. And, when talking about egressing from Euro money, the pro should be set against the contra. I am by no means sure that the pro will prevail. Let politics aside, however, and consider science. In science, either all facets of the problem are tackled together, no one excluded, or there is no hope to solve the issue. Transfer that to politics in Italy: either financial resources are found, outside the so called "troika", to actuate reforms, or these could not be actuated. Italy is wasting money along directions that are supported by the PD (Val di Susa, Gronda, incinerators, "pace" missions, to cite a few, otherwise they are well known). Some of these "directions" (opposed by science, and by the French Cour des Comptes) are going to threaten nature, which is the primary revenue for any country. Destroying nature is an irreversible process, to which thermodynamics or irreversible processes apply. Faced by this situation, the current proposals by the PD are simply smoke, which adds to all smoke that came out from that party in the past. In conclusion, it is a devastating situation. Italians seem to tackle the problems a posteriory, rather than a priory. See the current situation with trials to high-level politicians, which might bring Italians to the polls again. Those trials should have been carried out before polls, as it occurs with all democratic countries, while in Italy they have been interrupted to let the politician carry out his political campaign. Once again, Italians lack the sense of the State, the individual, family, religion, and so on, prevail. See the small Carinthia: the many recent financial scandals have been regulated in courts (in a few months) before the new polls. Now Carinthians are going to pools on a clean ground. Cheers, Franz

Now ,many TV are showing Grillo like a Mussolini and fiscal evasor !!In particular ,Espresso (that us an italian newspaper )wrote that Grillo has got 13 societes in paradise fiscal states ,in South America !!The reason is not to pay tax !!But Grillo could say that newspapers take money by state !!

Sounds like censorship and putting the government in charge of TV to me. If Grillo doesn't like it, he should set up his own on-line TV channel or buy an existing station. The point about the Internet is it breaks the broadcasters monopoly. Imposing a new one would not be a good idea. And I cannot see how a state-directed broadcaster would ever be unbiased.

Not all wolves are cunning and vicious; many are just plain stupid, especially the media variety.
More than a week after the election, Pier Luigi Bersani states: A single man in command is not democracy. Behind Bersani is the PD, I want to know what is behind Grillo.
The simple answer is that elections are key to a real democracy, not multiple leaders and convenient coalitions. At last count 25.5% of the citizenry are behind Beppe Grillo. To make it simple, 25% = 1 in 4 of voters in the nation.
