Citizens Primaries: Energy – Your comments

Today I’m doing a summary of your many comments on the topic of Energy as part of the Citizen Primaries initiative.
Many thanks to Pecoraro Scanio, Di Pietro and Bertinotti for having expressed their position. In your comments you repeated many times that there is a need to develop renewable sources and to adopt incentives to make this happen.
For example with certificates of energy efficiency, giving fines to those who sell energy without reducing CO2 emissions over a period of years.
I have collected together your suggestions according to topics (some referred to the same problem) and I’ve put them into this initial document.
>This document is attached.
PS. Tomorrow there’ll be a demonstration at Latina against the privatisation of water by the company Acqualatina spa. Hey, let’s participate! All the details are on: http://acqualatinanograzie.splinder.com

A really great initiative to reduce pollution in the cities would be to organize a "walk your children to school week". In a small city like Bologna it is perfectly possibile to get your children to school on foot, if parents get together and get organized. I live opposite two schools and I risk being gassed every morning at five to eight because of parents parking to drop their kids off, leaving their engines running of course. So how about declaring a traffic-free week without waiting for politicians to tell us that we have to leave our cars at home? And then everyone WALK to work...on their own initiative!
