A hut that goes and comes

capanno prima.jpg

Tiny things can give rise to the rebirth of a sense of civic pride in this country, even when it comes to the reconstruction of a hut that was burned down in Puglia.
Let’s give a hand to these courageous young people who are asking bloggers for help in rebuilding this hut as soon as possible.

“Dear all,
It’s with great bitterness that we would like to tell you about something that has happened:
yesterday, 13 March 2006, unknown people set fire to a small but delightful little hut belonging to LIPU (Lega Italiana Protezione Uccelli = Italian League for the Protection of Birds) that was in an abandoned zone of the wood called Bosco Difesa Grande in the territory of the town of Gravina in Puglia. The hut was irreparably destroyed.

Perhaps it is excessive to describe the sadness that we feel right now, but we’d like to do it anyway.

capanno dopo.jpg

It’s a way of letting off steam for those of us who are passionate about the world around us and its great marvels. Some of us have sacrificed the love of our families even wives and children to dedicate our “free time” to working on maintaining and improving the area around this tiny but significant “jewel”. Some of us prefer to come here to pick up the scythe and cut down the grass round the hut rather than go out for a Sunday stroll in the city or to go out into the countryside to celebrate Easter Monday with friends. Others prefer to plant new trees, or simply to listen to people passing by and talk to them about the national association called LIPU. We also find ourselves exposed to derision from those who do not understand the importance of protecting birds and everything else in the ecosystem. Of course we appreciate the consensus of lots of people who are touched by the ideas and who take action every day. Thanks to many volunteers who offer their contribution to helping Nature.

That day, someone started off by shooting at the window, then they impaled some birds (including a buzzard) on the pole in front of the entrance, they then broke down the external wall and after taking the door off its hinges, they set fire and burned this little hut down to the ground.
Forgive us for these reflections. But at the moment we feel a bit isolated.
Please look at the photos. Thank you!”

We'll never been extincted, because we are able to run through our life with lightness & depth! :-) :-)

Raff
You are right.
In the meantime I will try to not be extincted.

Blisco?

Where are you?

Prince, nobody can change THE WORLD, but everybody can change his own world, I mean our inner world and our personal field of action. Obviously, only if we don't like it!
We don't like arrogance, abuse of power, blind violence and, above all, idiocy and ignorance.
We are dreaming about a world where we can express ourself and share opinions and feelings, a world where the the value of friendship is more of importance than profit margins.
We believe in the power of mind, thoughs and imagination.
I agree with you when you say that we must deal with what we have, we have a lot of beautiful things in our inner self, let's improve them, instead the violence!
I know, you understand what I mean.

You guys are right.
On the other hand I'm not trying to change this world, I'm only allowed to live in it.
It would be great to get certain people to get off you just by saying "please" but this, unfortunately is not possible.
There are also different reason for people to bear arms, like for example if you live in remote regions with wild animals like the bears, for example: in order to survive you need to have a gun and of course laws works better without exceptions.
Not all people that own guns are bad and this seems to not get in somebody's mind because in Europe, our government are influencing our minds.
On the other hand, America is very different in size and nature from the rest of the continents and is impossible to apply the law under the european point of view.
Keys were invented before thieves but now is a different time and we have to deal with what we have.

Because of how evil the amerinazis have made America, Jesus Christ has removed His blessing. Can't you tell? http://www.deanberryministries.org/index3.html

Prince, the new law in Italy allows to bear arms too, I mean unfortunatly, because, as you know, I'm totally against arms. Violence begets more violence, I believe more in becoming aware, and in the power of knowledge vs ignorance. Only if the whole society would refuse the violence, without humming and hawing, with actions and not only words, we could change something. You can shoot at the robber who is trying to steal into your house, ok, he's dead, you didn't stop the robberies at all, your house is not safer than once, you'll only have somebody on your conscience. I'm sure, you'll fell you worse.

I agree with you about the big...motherfuckers.
But guns kills (the most of the times not the ones who deserved it).
Weapons is no safety, shoot is as fair as kill birds.

"Where I live it's perfectly legal because is Property Trespassing and the American Constitution allows us to bear arms."

This "freedom" cost more then 50000 lives each year to your own country.

I grew up with all sorts of birds my father helped many of them to survive when they were hurt severely. He collaborated with LIPU when a friend brought to him a hawk.
What can we do concretely to support LIPU?

Ciao,

M.G.

As you can see, here are the big guys!
Those big guys that like to inflict pain to animals just for fun and like to be respected by burning stuff that doesn't belong to them.
I would like those guys to come into my property just to have me test my Desert Eagle on their knees.
Where I live it's perfectly legal because is Property Trespassing and the American Constitution allows us to bear arms.
That's why very few people here fucks around other people's property.

Ciao all,

our beautiful region, Puglia, needs passion and love from the citizens of the region.

I would encourage people in Gravina, and from all around the region, to go on, continuing to protect the forest

Regards
