Itís Dario Fo talking to you

ďDearest friends, you are Grilloís friends and you are also in a way mine too. Itís Dario Fo talking to you. I find myself fighting here in Milan with a list bearing my name (Dario Fo list) with Ferrante, for the Unione.
Make it happen that we win! But take care. Donít exaggerate. The victory might need just one extra vote. That way we may have the possibility to make positive conditions about the new administration of Milan. It could mean that the promises we have made during the election campaign to transform, to save this city that is drowning in smog and in the emptiness of ideas. So that we can make it come back to the surface and float again.
Itís not enough that the renewal is resolved by a lick of paint to the lampposts. We say NO to criminal projects. NO to the collapse of the basis of the cityís land to create 4 storey car parks. NO to traffic with a million extra vehicles. NO to the periphery without services, reduced to a dormitory ghetto. Iíll stop there.
Ok Iíll go on.
NO to the construction of skyscrapers with 8000 people on the land of the old ďFieraĒ. NO to a city without cultural events. NO to a city with apartments that are really expensive and empty. NO to a city of cars, of parking spaces, of pavements invaded by cars, of the centre open to cars.
Milan is the city of cars. But in that case, instead of a city, it would have been enough to plan a massive car park. Thatís what Milan has become today.
We want the children to play in the middle of plants and green spaces. We want older people to be able to live their life. We want them to have tranquil days, perhaps even playing bowls in piazza del Duomo!
Letís go! Letís make the estate agents really angry, as well as the finance houses, the car manufacturers, the incinerator producers! Letís reclaim the sky, the stars, the air, our life

Dear Dario

Do not get discouraged by negative comments, one mans dream can became reality. Look at Ghandi.

Keep up the good work, and thank you for your courage.

This sympathetic man, looks trustable and honest but unfortunately not organised enough: His speach is arriving too late. Pity.

I appreciate Dario's protest and commitment to change. To broaden the view - while still sitting in our country - I was disappointed by present Premier's comments (as reported on newspapers on line) that he never disliked bridges across straits. I know that area in depth, I discovered biological niches that are unique on all seven seas (A. Sturaro, A. Guerriero, R. De Clauser and F. Pietra "A new, unexpected marine source of a molting hormone. Isolation of ecdysterone in large amounts from the zoanthid Gerardia savaglia, Experientia, 1982, 38, 1184-1185). All that would be destroyed by the bridge just pointing to there. Prospects? To present the bridge to the next earthquake. Unfortunately not uncommon there. And be aware that on threatening biodiversity, man is threatened, soon or later. We are lucky to be short of money.
Cheers Francesco Pietra

E buona fortuna a Lei, Signor Fo - your name is well-known, Downunder, and your values equally so. Your city is that which I love most in the whole world, as I have said for many years on the Website of myself and my husband (whom I lost at the end of January, to my eternal grief).
It would be wonderful to think that the ideas you espouse are considered of sufficient value to your voters as to bring you success ...
