Dying stars

stella_morente.jpg

Iíve decided to talk about Welby as well. To do my tiny pornography of death. To allow all those who want to comment once and for all about Welby.
A comment like in those comment books for the dead person on the landing outside the home. Then letís leave him in peace for evermore. Together with all those who are in his condition.
The TV has a new reality show, produced and directed by Bonino & Pannella. Itís called 'They were famous'. You sign up at the moment of death. You become a star at the moment of passing to the other life. Dying stars.
Stars of an endoscopic TV. Thousands of Piergiorgio Welbys, excluded from tests, see that one of them, surrounded by the media, and at the end disconnected from the respirator.
The assisted death of Welby is an assisted suicide, a homicide of the conscious, a serious crime.
But the radicals are like Lourdes. Where thereís bad luck, theyíre there. A friend of mine, a Consultant of a unit (with TV) for patients in a coma, has 2 patients like Welby. He has told me that he doesnít know what to do any more.
Itís not easy to say that Welby was not depressed, nor to say the contrary.
We need a protected zone for the desperate so that they can just see the advertising and the Sunday Mass. Dignity is finished for ever, from the moment that death has lost its privacy.

trovo l'articolo su Welby davvero pessimo. Lasciamoli in pace?

Joe, you wonder whether it was Max.

A quick rule of thumb to answer your question:

Ask yourself: Is the message intelligent?

If the answer is yes, you can safely rule out that it was posted by Max, Enrichetto, ecc.

The Church didn't have any problems with Pinochet's lavish religious funeral. I guess we all know what her priorities are.

Paola, you are paying this SNERT too much attention. This idiot won't stop making an asshole of himself even when confronted with a topic like death. Ignore him as he's seriously mentally impaired and just scroll over the nonsense.

May Mr.Welby rest in peace and may the Vatican apologize for it's error (regarding the funeral) before the usual 600 years have gone past....

Enrico Rossi only posts insults and cursing.

BEPPE, will you please BAN him?

I went to a funeral(suicide)in a catholic Church in Australia and I was surprised, coming from Italy ,and happy that actually there was a funeral in the first place,it gave the family lots of confort, maybe here they do their own things,we are so far away from the Vatican, thank God for that euthanasia is a tricky subject,I am not against or for it,it could be exploited by people, but I do not like to see people suffer, only to keep them alive, years ago we had the same situation happening in Australia,a woman with a cancer in the bladder and in lots of pain, wanted to die,of course big drama, court cases with a doctor that is for euthanasia and groups against, shortly the woman did not die,and a year later was fine, and healthy ,and the cancer gone, what I am getting at, under pianfull condition,we cannot make the right decision, asked any mother that wanted to have baby by natural labor, when the pain hit,and it is very painfull, they take anything that would help with the pain,(me included, yes I am a wimp),unless written in a will, when in full mental capacity,in my opinion I will like to see things done in the right way,I wish you to,Paola,Giovanni Principe,Enrico Rossi,Raffaella and co.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ciao

My "Dear" Prof John Stuart Mill I am sorry to inform you that you have been had my friend!!!

The ONLY msg I've posted today was the following:
QUOTE
"Eu-thanasia", the word "eu" in Greek means "good, with dignity, well" and the word "thanasia" means "death" so it needs no explanation.

Euthanasia is a human right!!!

When cloning is so widely discussed and parliaments are voting for "legal cloning of embryos for medical reasons"....which means that parts of the embryo are used to "save" another life and then that embryo is killed....I believe
arguing about euthanasia is at least ridiculous!!!

UNQUOTE

You should have known better before posting your nasty comments....:o(

Anyway Merry Christmas to you too !!! :o)))

ps. Pay attention to small details and you will soon recognize who writes what...

Giovanni, I found out about Welby's death by chance.
It really bothers me that these rich churchmen who hang around their necks the image of the naked crucified Jesus (who befriended prostitutes and tax collectors and preached nothing but tolerance) would shut the Church doors to prevent this good man to have a religious funeral.

Posted by: Enrico Rossi | December 23, 2006 11:27 PM

Enrico:
I was thinking: If today's church representatives would've been present when Jesus Christ knowingly went to his crucifiction, they probably would reserve the same stuff thet they did to Welby because technically Jesus Christ knew that he was gonna die.

Those guys must really think to clear their rap sheet before casting a stone against somebody that was slave of a machine while being in pain.

How many little kids must be raped before the Church will recognise their mistakes?

Why the Pope did not visit Welby?

Posted by: Giovanni Principe | December 23, 2006 11:19 PM

Enrico:
I didn't know Welby died.
The newspaper I usually read is stopped at the pages of 3 days ago because of the strike.
The Churchies must reconsider where they are because their attitude is not playing in their favor.

Posted by: Giovanni Principe | December 23, 2006 11:03 PM

Enrico Rossi,

Did you forget to add your insult?
Or did you learn the lesson?

Posted by: Dave Matthews | December 23, 2006 08:13 PM

"I funerali di Piergiorgio Welby si terranno domani 24 dicembre alle ore 10.30 in P.zza San Giovanni Bosco di fronte alle porte chiuse della Chiesa Don Bosco"
The Church is denying funeral rites to this good man, all in the name of Christ, of course.

Posted by: Enrico Rossi | December 23, 2006 07:32 PM

In all this "Push and Pull" with Piergiorgio Welby I only want to say that I wish the doctors would put the same effort in doing their job with regular patients which wish only to be cured and leave the hospital as soon as possible instead of fearing the next Dr. Mengele which will ruin their life without being punished for malpractice, going back to his life without giving a rat's ass about anybody.
For Piergiorgio Welby I can only wish he did not go under the media's microscope to put an end for his life.
He did all in good faith but now, it's almost impossible for his wish to come true because every move he does is watched by everybody.
Whoever will help him to pull the plug in these days will be crucified without mercy.

Merry Christmas Piergiorgio.
I cannot wish you to die, all I can do is to wish you to choose the next life you deserve because of this.

Posted by: Giovanni Principe | December 23, 2006 07:06 PM

Joe, it was probably not Max.

I guess that if you have to criticize, it's safest to use someone else's nick. You know, just in case they take offence and decide to democraticaly blow you up...

MAX STIRNER PV (= Pippero Vigliacco in Italian or Coward Wanker in English)

Marcia,

what do you say of terrorists?

Posted by: Max Stirner

Hi Max,
it's really you who has written the sensible message addressed to Ms (foolish)Marcia Visanji ?

I can't believe it,as in the Italian version you are usually against USA's stance!!!

Hope someone of Mr Grillo's blog staff or Mr Grillo himself, known as a fucking communist NO GLOBAL nut, are not used to reading any message posted in the English version as they do in the Italian version, otherwise you can be expected to be censored and banished in the Italian version too which,as for as I'm concerned, would be the last straw...what do you make of it?

As for as Ms (foolish)Marcia Visanji is concerned, well I'd say to draw a veil of kindness over her senseless words taking into account that she's or should be a muslim woman whose rights are kept in subjugation in almost all Muslim countries.

Of course the war in Iraq was a tragic mistake but I can't see the link between Euthanasy and the war itself and anyway I remind Ms (foolish)Marcia Visanji that during SADDAM's regime about 1.000.000 of Iraqi people were killed by his regime, because of their different religion, with an average of 500 people per day starting from 1993 which is much worse than the current civilian death toll.

With love and compassion for Ms Ms (foolish)Marcia Visanji's little brain

Prof John Stuart Mill

P.S. How is life in Canada, Mr ERNESTO ROSSI SNERT (Sexual Needy Enrico Rossi Troll)??? How about Canadian girls? Are they as foolish and naive as the muslim ones???

Rimediate o perderete parecchi utenti esteri!
Saluti...

Nick,
I am not sure if this is the case...

Grillo is talking about the right of a person to die in peace but I a believe, as you said, that the media were there with the concent of Welby in order assist present and future cases like his,to be allowed to die in dignity!!

Posted by: paola filinesi | December 23, 2006 10:21 AM

As I'm censored on the italian Grilloís blog I'll write on the english one. About Welby: maybe Grillo didn't understood that Welby decided to show him self to the media so giving voice to all the people living as him. Maybe Grillo thinks it's better to keep quiet on suffering people with no hope.

Marcia,

what do you say of terrorists?

Posted by: Max Stirner | December 23, 2006 09:36 AM

This man suffering agonizing pain was being tortured by being kept alive and yet the very same people are cheer leaders for wars which kills healthy population and brings pain & suffering and Israel right to carry out extra-judicial killing.

Is there any act more disgusting, repulsive, vile, barbaric than the "holier than thou preacher hypocrisy".

Posted by: Marcia Visanji | December 23, 2006 08:25 AM

"The assisted death of Welby is an assisted suicide, a homicide of the conscious, a serious crime."
No, it is not a crime! What happened in the case of Mr.Welby was the withdrawal of medical assistance that cannot be considered natural. Let's stop thinking and preaching that granting a person in this abominable situation his death wish is a crime. For goodness sake, we show more compassion to our dying pets than to our fellow human beings! I venture to say that our society can't consider itself truly civilized until full euthanasia is entrenched as a fundamental human right in the Constitution. Voltaire, where are thou?
