The power of silence

98,000,000,000 euro that the State Monopoly concessionaires dodge in taxes is not news. In fact no one talks about it. The power of silence is the true power. In Italy there are 5 newspapers and 7 TV channels that administer information. They construct it and they deny it. The citizen is a domesticated seal, saying yes and saying no and never understanding anything that is happening.
98,000,000,000 euro of tax dodging deserves a reply. Visco and Prodi must reply. Otherwise they are justifying the tax dodging. Those who pay taxes cannot be taken for a ride, they are paying even their not-tiny salaries.
The blog has published an initial letter to Giorgio Tino, the monopoly director. No reply. Today I’m publishing another one. If no one replies, the blog will go on. Tino don’t grumble. V-day, V-day, V-day.

LETTER TO THE DIRECTOR OF THE STATE MONOPOLY

“Dear Dr. Giorgio Tino,
We are worried about you. For months we have been writing to you from the pages of il Secolo XIX and from this blog, but you are not answering us.
Please, give a sign of life. Otherwise we will be obliged to present a statement of your disappearance. We’ll have to go to the programme “Who has seen them?” Basically we are not asking a lot from you. We simply want to know whether you have news of the 98,000,000,000 euro (yes thousands of millions – with nine zeros) that with taxes not handed over and fines not paid, the slot machine concessionaires owe to the State.
According to the Court of Accounts and a committee of enquiry headed up by the undersecretary Alfiero Grandi, this treasure chest seems to have finished up with companies that are close to Cosa Nostra and to political parties (AN above all). The magistrates and the committee say that the Monopolies that you are responsible for have major responsibilities for this “mistake”. Not just that: the Court of Accounts has started proceedings to get back this money from the relevant companies. And even from yourself who could be asked for 1,200,000,000 euro.
We have just reported the words of the committee and of the Court of Accounts. In a civilized country, you would have replied to our questions months ago.
Or you would have resigned. Instead you keep silent and you are still in post.
But even the vice-Minister Vincenzo Visco is silent and he has had on his desk a copy of Grandi’s report.
Perhaps you hope that sooner or later we will get tired of writing to you. But no. We have the right to know where our money has landed up. And we will continue to write to you. (ufficiostampa@aams.it) until you reply. Or unless President Prodi gives us a responsible reply. Yours sincerely.” Marco Menduni and Ferruccio Sansa (journalists of il Secolo XIX)

I bet that Giorgio Tino will claim that he never received Grillo's letter. I can imagine how these stories end up, hope that the envelope is a receipt upon signature.

Good luck..

Italy is lost ! no future for anybody there !! Even for the politicians !!

YOU HAVE EATEN YOUR OWN COUNTRY, YOUR OWN LAND, YOUR OWN FUTURE !!

Ps for Piero Sanna: If you talk about banks and signoraggio is like to put your neck under the sword !! So what Grillo is doing is more than enough !

That's rich coming from you Grillo!!!!!
The power of silence...... do me a favour...

Grillo has been pestering the Italain public with very mild and quite inconclusive posts about the italian political life. I am of course disgusted as anybody with this pathetic scenario but I resent the fact that Grillo refuses categorically to talk about the true masters of this country.

Dear Beppe why don't you use this blog to divulge the 'truth' concerning central banks and their debt-based system?

Could you please talk about complementary currencies?

Please!!! You perfectly know that this blog would be the perfect platform to open the eyes and minds of people who do not understand money and its monopoly.

I know you've got family and all. If you think it would be too risky to talk about these issues well ... you should get back to do what you know best.

Grillo you are a comedian. A very good one too.
Stop trying being something else you cannot afford to be.

Italy is such a country! I have travelled around Europe and overseas and never never I have met such people..italians..!
Our deputies are the most paied in Europe, probably in the world!..but for what? for their ignorance? shame on you in italians!..maybe shame on me..since I am italian as well unfortunatly..but I'm not worth of it!
What about italian women? A DISASTER!, UGLY STRESSED AND WITHOUT ANY CHARM...how possible that in the northern and eastern Europe Women are so nice and pretty instead??
the best way to change our country is TO LEAVE IT!

that's my opinion,
Claudio from Rome

By reading newspapers while not being in Italy, I perceive that periodists seem to have a their own Freedom, looking for the Real True. Looking for the Real True, in order to improve their Real Self. And...unfortunatelly... this kind of Freedom seems not to be the same we usually have in Italy.

Regards and Good Luck!
