Fifteen years of "Forza DS"
I’m publishing the text of my speech yesterday in Rome’s Piazza Navona
”Italians! We weren’t connected because of a “technical” event. I was connected until four, ten minutes ago. Everything was OK. Then, strangely, the signal went. So, you will have to imagine for yourselves. I have to imagine you and you will have to imagine me. Don’t imagine me fatter, evil, sweating and as one who spits out swear words. I have done a “ghandian” course and the most disgusting word that has passed my lips in the last 6 months is: “belin!”. Thus, imagine me slimmer, thinner and much nicer. I have no intention to offend anyone. I want to imagine you and why you are there. You who are in forty or seventy thousand – the Questura will say two thousand five hundred. Why are you there? You are there also to demonstrate your existence, dear friends. Perhaps I’ve got more against you than against the psycho dwarf, dancing girls and similar. I am angry with this great extraordinary way of taking us for a ride that they have been doing to the Italian citizens for15 years. Taking us for a really really big ride. By this pretend government and this pretend opposition. That’s why we find ourselves in this situation. You are there and I am here to talk about, I don’t know who to. By now we’ve got total delirium. The psycho dwarf, Berlusconi, has gone to Japan for the G8 and he has collected another, shit character in the name of and on behalf of the Italian people. With this expression “Italian people” dear gentlefolk, I can no longer identify myself. And I would like – I have even spoken to my lawyer – that every time that Berlusconi calls on the Italian people, he adds an extra bit: “apart from the Grillo family!” OK, but it’s not even the psycho-dwarf’s fault. The psycho-dwarf is only the effect. The cause is what I said earlier. There has been a single party. A single party for fifteen years. They were just pretending. Prodi, Berlusconi, D’Alema, Berlusconi. It’s all a way of taking us for a ride. So what needs to be done? I don’t know what needs to be done. This is a government, dear friends, that lives with TV labels. In any old people, in any old country in the world, whether it’s totalitarian, or democratic, if a premier telephoned to sell a “fica” in leasing, as our premier has done, to corrupt some senators, to bring down the government, he would have been stopped by a coup d’état. What’s not important is the “fica”, dear friends. What’s important is what people want. And he gives people what he wants. A certain type of people. In no state in the world would there be a premier who with his lawyer, Previti, corrupted a judge to buy the biggest publishing company in the country. What country has this one become? That’s why I’m angry.
Conflict of interests. Shit. The Left and the Conflict of interests. The first thing it should have done was the law on the Conflict of interests. But it’s a conflict that also relates to their interests. That’s why I am so enraged. But that’s saying nothing, enraged
They’ve gone beyond that. I don’t know who this Veltroni-Topo Gigio is. Is he the new Mastella? Who is he? Who is this great person? He’s not even a man. He’s a subject! What is he? An adverb! What is it? I can’t even manage to understand what his speeches are. He puts in an adjective and some nouns. He doesn’t have a heart, or lungs, or a brain. He just has nouns.

Hi, it seems that we were right the first time...
now the www.sabinaguzzanti.it site reports to have been attacked...
BtW for Sabina and company, if they should need it, I am willing to host their site (I have plenty of space on my hosting space with my AMERICAN hosting company): I hope also that this makes a little bit more complicated to attack it.

I know this message is not relevant to " fifteen years of 'forza DS'" but after sending the message herebelow to info@beppegrillo.it I get a service not available! any idea? because something has to be done.
" hi Beppe Grillo,
I am an belgian enthusiatic reader of your blog I know you want it
uncensured but it is obvious that some people, certainly paid by our
opposants, are now trying to destroy it by sending irrelevent messages
either in using inappropriate languages or incoherent messages.
Is their any way to get rid of these spams.
best regard

One thing...
I dont know if this is somehow related, but STRANGELY after the 8th of July and Piazza Navona,
the 2 sites
www.corradoguzzanti.it and
www.sabinaguzzanti.it
are no longer reachable...
the first states explicitly "sito chiuso" (site closed), the second is not reachable and reports an error in the browser...
perhaps I am too paranoic... but it seems a bit strange, doesnt it ?

My-oh-my; the things thin-skinned and politically correct people do! Some left the square, others "distanced" themselves from gutsy speeches thought to have offended President Napolitano and the Pope. Please. The Italian President has lived and seen too much to feel pain at some arrows shot his way. The Pope insulted a billion people when he concluded Islam only produced death and destruction. The delicate souls with the delicate ears should get a grip and understand the point of what was said in Piazza Navona. Piazza Navona was about pushing back the envelope that Berlusconi has shoved in our faces. Piazza Navona was also about waking up a wimpy, sleepy PD. Travaglio, Guzzanti, Grillo and Di Pietro are there standing up to Berlusconi and company and they use no half-measures, like Berlusconi. The media mogul plays hardball in business and politics. Thank God some people like Di Pietro, Grillo, Guzzanti and Travaglio are playing just as hard! You don't speak diplomatese with "Berlusca"! So they are cutting it close and the establishment, the political class, mogul medias and media hacks feel it. Veltroni and the other wimps reacted by feigning indignation. The wimps are distancing themselves from the gutsy people as if they are misfits. But misfits they're not. Misfits can't relate to thousands and thousands of young people; and a large part of today's youth know as much. Grillo, Guzzanti, Di Pietro and Travaglio are truth-screamers and as truth-screamers they're mocked, patronized, labeled insane, treated as aberrations and when none of the above works they try to disregard them, pretend they don't exist, ignore them. But the gorilla is in the room and can't be ignored. Travaglio's rigorous exposition of facts, Grillo's and Guzzanti's satires are lifting the curtain of the theatre of the absurd, revealing a world of mafiosi, fraudsters, politicians, media moguls, phony CEO's, bankers and the rest of the Italian establishment pigging out at the trough overflowing with taxpayers' money. The vehemence of the reaction to Piazza Navona shows only one thing: Grillo, Travaglio and Guzzanti Di Pietro are a single force rattling the cage of the beast and the beast doesn't like it. Not for a minute should we let them make us dubious of what we're all about: we're about the future of the left. We're about today's alienated, exploited, jobless young people, immigrants and the fingerprinted children, pensioners and the thousands of laid-off workers. When we talk, we talk to them. Their existentiality is our existentiality. Their future is today. Their future and the left's future began the eighth of July. We don't need those who preferred to criticize the style instead of identifying themselves with our meaning. Our style has meaning: they just refuse to acknowledge it. What kind of style do they have other than hipocracy? What do they have other than calling us "trash"? They have a con- man, an Italian rooster, a ridiculous, pretentious latin lover who, like some of his butlers on his TVs and papers, asks how high to jump when his master from this side of the ocean tells him to jump. But in the battle for the hearts and minds of Italians, the left stood by and looked and bickered and fragmented while he was arming himself with newspapers, television stations and publishing houses. As it is, if anyone is resisting Berlusconi's blitzkrieg with any effect is Grillo's blog, Travaglio investigative skills, Guzzanti's satire and Di Pietro's knowledge of laws and all the speakers that spoke and the thousands of people in Piazza Navona, Torino and Bologna.

Qui c'è anche la notizia data dalla BBC:
US Senate passes surveillance law
The US senate has passed a bill to shield telephone companies who helped in the White House's controversial warrantless wiretaps programme.
The bill also grants the US government the power to continue with the telephone surveillance scheme.
The Bush administration faced criticism when details emerged of its programme to monitor the phone calls of foreign targets in the US without warrants.
Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama voted in favour of the measure.
His decision to back the bill drew criticism from some of his supporters, who pointed to past statements in which Mr Obama had pledged to block any bill which granted immunity to telecommunication companies.
"I wouldn't have drafted the legislation like this," said Mr Obama, in a statement on his website.
However, he added, "in a dangerous world, government must have the authority to collect the intelligence we need to protect the American people".
Sticking point
President Bush welcomed the Senate's decision to pass the bill, saying he would be signing it into law shortly.
The bill was passed in the House of Representatives with bipartisan support last month, after House Democrats reached a compromise with the Republicans over the provisions to grant telecommunications companies immunity from prosecution.
Telephone companies were facing as many as 40 lawsuits for their involvement in the scheme.
Previous attempts to pass the bill - and allow the warrantless wiretap scheme to continue - had foundered on the issue of immunity for telecom firms.
Democrats had been reluctant to grant the firms immunity, saying the courts should first determine what the companies did.
President Bush - backed by Republicans in Congress - wanted to ensure that firms which had helped his administration would not be liable for prosecution.
The two sides reached a compromise, whereby telephone companies would not be automatically immune, but courts would be obliged to dismiss a suit against a firm if it is able to produce written certification that the White House had asked it to participate in the programme and had assured the firm it was legal.

Weitreichendste Reform seit drei Jahrzehnten
